Just like that, making twenty monks is clear in the intention of the Noble Ones. However, most Indian and Tibetan scholars, although seeking this intention, have not clearly manifested it as it is. The second part is divided into two

There are also those who become Buddhas in those assemblies. Thus it is said. This refers to those who come to this world once and then pass into nirvana elsewhere, so they are called once-returners. Secondly, the bodhisattvas who abide in the fruit of non-return, the faithful and those who have attained faith, are the great bodhisattvas who have attained the six superknowledges, who are not born in the desire realm, the form realm, or the formless realm, but they honor, respect, revere, and make offerings to the Tathāgatas, the Arhats, the perfectly complete Buddhas, and they also go from Buddha-field to Buddha-field. Thus it is said. This refers to those who do not return to where they were born, so they are called non-returners. The third is divided into three: the sangha with the names stream-enterer, once-returner, and non-returner. The first is divided into two: the bodhisattvas who abide in the fruit of stream-entry, who are born from the human realm, are: great bodhisattvas who generate the four dhyanas, the four immeasurables, and the four formless absorptions, and then, with skillful means, revert from the dhyanas, samadhis, and attainments, and are born in the desire realm, in order to fully ripen sentient beings, they are also born in the families of kings, brahmins, householders, and like great sala trees. Thus it is said. The bodhisattvas who are born from the deva realm are: great bodhisattvas who enter the four dhyanas, the four immeasurables, and the four formless absorptions, and also, by the power of skillful means, by the power of dhyana, samadhi, and attainment, they are not born in the four great king heavens, but are born equal to the gods of the Paranirmita-vasavartin heaven. Thus it is said. In the Great Commentary, the birth from the deva realm is divided into two types: birth from the desire realm devas and birth from the form realm devas. These two are also different from mere stream-enterers because they have abandoned three or four afflictions of the desire realm, have obtained the antidote to them, the uncontaminated faculty, and have two or three lifetimes remaining, so they possess these three distinctions, as it says in the "Sun Essence". Secondly, the bodhisattvas with one interruption are: great bodhisattvas who have attained from the four dhyanas up to the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, and in order to realize these, their conduct is that they have attained the four noble truths, but they do not manifest them, there are such people. Shariputra, know that these great bodhisattvas are obstructed by one lifetime.

Thus it is said. This is to abandon the seventh and eighth afflictions, to obtain the uncontaminated power, to have one remaining life, and to possess these three characteristics, so it is only a returner, not a super-enterer, as illuminated by sunlight. Regarding the meaning of one intervening life, the explanation in the commentary on the Compendium of Topics says that one life obstructs Nirvana, which is consistent with this sutra. Abhidharma considers this to be the seventh and eighth grounds, but if according to the sutra, it is clear in the tenth ground, because it is said to be a prince obstructed by one life. Here it is said that one obtains powers, etc., up to non-mixture, which refers to obtaining those categories or special abilities. The third has eight types. The first, the non-returner who abandons is: From the initial generation of great Bodhicitta, approaching the seven dharmas of dhyana, immeasurable, formless, powers, fearlessness, each correctly recognizing, obtaining the eighteen non-mixtures, those who skillfully and expediently take birth from the Akanistha heaven to the lower Paranirmitavasavartin heaven, and there are also those who become Buddhas there and do the work of sentient beings. This is to say that in the intermediate state of the three realms, in any place in the form realm, one becomes a Buddha, and in order to show enlightenment, etc., here, it is an intermediate abandoner. The second, the one who is born and abandons is: Those great Bodhisattvas who, upon the initial generation of Bodhicitta, immediately attain enlightenment, turn the wheel of Dharma, and after doing immeasurable and countless beings' benefit, completely pass into the realm of Nirvana without remainder, and there are also those who, after passing into Nirvana, the true Dharma remains for a kalpa or more than a kalpa. Here, the initial generation of Bodhicitta refers to descending from Akanistha to Tushita, and from there descending to Jambudvipa (India), renouncing from household life, and immediately generating Bodhicitta when sitting in vajra posture under the Bodhi tree, and passing into Nirvana with remainder, so it is called the one who is born and abandons, from the Sutra of Perfect Light. The third, the Bodhisattva who passes away with activity is: Those great Bodhisattvas who practice the six perfections, go from one world to another, and in those worlds also establish beings in Bodhi, they are constantly diligent for the benefit of beings, and never
