Because in each square there are "Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable) great so-and-so rakṣa" etc., and it is said that "Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable) is used to completely combine." Therefore, do not write the red Tibetan Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable) in the corners, but write it in the directions. Nāgabodhi said, "In the four corners of the upper wheel, write Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable) great so-and-so Māraya Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable), and in the four corners of the lower wheel, write Phaṭ Māraya Phaṭ." etc., these are meaningless. These are dominated by fierce actions. For pacifying etc., one should write "Namaḥ (藏文:ནམཿ,梵文天城体:नमः,梵文罗马拟音:namaḥ,汉语字面意思:Homage) great so-and-so Śaṃtiṃ Kuru Namaḥ (藏文:ནམཿ,梵文天城体:नमः,梵文罗马拟音:namaḥ,汉语字面意思:Homage)" etc. The detailed explanation of the expansion words and combination methods of mantras will be given below when drawing the wheel. Thus, the mixing of mantras, the boundaries, and the method of writing in the sixteen squares, etc., have been explained. After arranging it completely purely, offering and making tormas, that is, after arranging the earth wheel completely purely in this way, purify, increase, and bless the offerings and tormas actually arranged on the wheel, and then make offerings. That is, visualize the seventeen letters of Yakṣemā etc. as thirteen heads and four skulls, and then offer tormas etc. to them as to the thirteen deities. Fifth, regarding moving the wheel, it says, "Drawing should be started." This is connecting the boundaries. There are ten aspects here: the basis on which to write, the ink with which to write, the pen with which to write, the difference in the direction to face when writing, the mudra and mantra when entering writing, the difference in the flame-like patterns on the outside of each wheel, the method of moving the central letters and the difference in the direction the heads of other letters point, the difference in the mantras and expansion words for each action, the difference between the earth wheel and the sky wheel, and the faults of not writing correctly, as well as the earth wheel dissolving and stating the power of truth and then blessing it. The first point is: according to the classification of actions, take the cloth of the wheel. For pacifying and increasing, use a very auspicious cloth. For subjugation, faith, attraction, selling medicine etc., as well as purification, separation, expulsion, and suppression, use graveyard cloth. That is, according to the classification that differs from the basis of writing the wheel, take the corresponding cloth and write on it. Among them, pacifying and increasing are very auspicious, and should be written on an auspicious cloth.

As stated here. In the Mar nag gi gyü (Red Black Tantra), it is said to write on the bark of bamboo or reeds, as stated. In the Kalachakra, with the leaves of the nyagrodha (banyan tree), and Virupa with white silk or clean white cotton cloth. In the Dong Drug gi gyü (Six-Faced Tantra), it is said to write on the bark of bla gor sho zha, any of these are fine. The basis for drawing the protective wheel is also similar to pacifying and increasing. For empowerment and attraction, use the cloth from a prostitute's waistband, and what is summarized by "etc." is that in the Mar nag gi gyü (Red Black Tantra), for empowerment use bamboo or cloth, for attraction use cemetery cloth or cloth stained with menstrual blood, any of these that are mentioned are fine. Killing, separating, expelling, and suppressing, all four can be written on cemetery cloth, that is, on corpse cloth. Specifically, in the Dong Drug gi gyü (Six-Faced Tantra) it is said that the wheel for suppressing speech should be written on an unused clay bowl. Making someone mute is also the same. Also, in the Dong Drug gi gyü (Six-Faced Tantra), it is said that the separation wheel should be written on the skin of a horse and a buffalo, that is, one wheel is written on horse skin and one on buffalo skin. For causing someone to be afflicted by plague, it is said to write on a large cemetery tile. In the Kalachakra, it is said that for delusion and madness, one should write on fully ripened arka leaves. Whatever wrathful wheel it may be, it is often said to write on corpse cloth, and it is also mentioned in the Seven Sections, so here I will explain the method of writing on it. That is, in Tibet, it is difficult to find corpse cloth like that of India, but if you find the corpse of someone who died accidentally, cover it with any cloth, cotton, or silk, leave it for a while, steam it, and then write on it. In the Seven Sections, it says: "Together with the substances previously mentioned, use the unclean remains of food pecked by crows, and together with Vairochana (藏文:རྣམ་པར་སྣང་མཛད།,梵文天城体:वैरोचन,梵文罗马拟音:Vairocana,汉语字面意思:毗卢遮那佛) smear it on the cemetery cloth." Here, Vairochana is good excrement. The substances previously mentioned are: the poisons, blood, salt, poison, nimapa, and datura juice mentioned above, etc. Those, and as the teacher Jampal Yeshe said, also smear it with wheat flour. Smear those substances on the corpse cloth, wrinkle it a little, and stretch it out smoothly. On that, although the teacher Jampal Yeshe said to draw lines with the hair of the corpse, if you cannot find it, use another thread.
