Also. The Sautrāntikas also believe that although blue can be measured by direct perception, they still want to prove that blue is an external object by reasoning. If not, if someone says that the direct perception of sound can deduce the impermanence of sound, how should the Sautrāntikas answer? If so, it would be meaningless to argue about permanence and impermanence based on sound as the basis of the dispute, if you say so. Then, it would also be meaningless to argue about whether or not blue is an external object based on blue as the basis of the dispute. The Sautrāntikas would not make mistakes on such superficial issues. Moreover, the existence of external objects has also been proven from the reasoning that the fruit is the reverse of the object. Second, the two fruit-following thoughts: the object-grasped aspect is the object to be measured, the subject-grasping aspect is the measure, and self-awareness is the fruit. Third, the classification of the three fruit-following thoughts: the determination of the classification and the elimination of contradictions. First, blue is the object to be measured, and the awareness that does not produce new illusions about blue after blue appears is the measure. The blue awareness that becomes its own nature relative to its own object to be measured is the fruit. In this regard, if the examination of external objects is taken to an extreme, believing that there are no external objects, and even if there are, believing that self-awareness is the fruit, and establishing external objects as the object to be measured as one's own tenet, this is not in accordance with any of the tenets of the Sautrāntikas and Yogācāras, because there is unreasonableness in whether external objects are suitable as the object to be measured by direct perception of the two schools. Some people believe that external objects exist nominally, but are negated when analyzed by reason. This is not being proficient in the distinction between the two truths, because they want to negate the object of the conventional measure with the reason of the ultimate truth. If the two truths are not considered to be the means and the means-born, then it must be admitted that they are like heat and cold, and that they are in a relationship of harming and being harmed. In this way, no matter how proficient the teachers of any school are, when establishing the two truths of their own school, they must admit self-contradiction. The Lords of Reasoning say that if the object to be measured by the conventional measure is harmed by reason, then it will also harm the meditative state of the omniscient ones. Therefore, in the case of the three fruit-following thoughts, blue is also taken as the object to be measured, and then relative to the measure, the awareness that becomes its own nature is what the Sautrāntikas have abandoned and is established by the Yogācāra school. If the Sautrāntikas think so

Because it is necessary to consider self-awareness as the result, it is argued thinking it would be too extreme. Even if external objects exist, it is like that. This means that the Sautrāntika school, when considering something like blue, which is considered the basis of external objects, as something to be measured, it is also to prove that blue itself is not something else. Some say that in the Yogācāra school, blue does not exist, and therefore sense perception also does not exist. This statement is biased towards the views of that school. After establishing the four views of the Yogācāra school, it is necessary to prove liberation and omniscience through the reasoning of real power. And its proof must also rely on sense perception and self-awareness. Apart from the unique doctrinal terms for establishing external objects, all the doctrines above and below can be well applied to the Yogācāra school, please understand this. The definition of manifestation is that because it is not produced by the four causes of error, it is not erroneous; and because it is free from the conceptual thought that confuses sound and meaning, it is non-conceptual. The Yogācāra school also admits that this non-conceptual, non-erroneous knowledge enters the aggregate manifestation of sense perception. If it were not so, the establishment of the five aggregates would be unreasonable, and from the perspective of the Sautrāntika school, it would not be possible to newly prove the selflessness of phenomena, etc., and many faults would occur. Generally speaking, the necessity of the teacher's creation of the doctrine of external objects is to indicate the method for those of the Śrāvaka lineage to be liberated from saṃsāra. If external objects are denied, it will become an instruction on the selflessness of phenomena. For sentient beings who are temporarily unsuitable as vessels for the selflessness of phenomena, the Blessed One taught the doctrine of things in the first teaching, so in order to explain its intention, the doctrine of things was created. So, does the teacher have to admit that by denying the things of his own school, one can be liberated from saṃsāra by meditating on non-valid things? There is no fault, because they believe that external objects do not exist, and even if the Śrāvakas do not realize the selflessness of phenomena, the Śrāvakas can attain the realization of an Arhat. This answer has already been given in the previous examination of when the sense perception of blue manifestation becomes valid. Secondly, it is to abandon what contradicts reason and what contradicts scripture. The first is that the Sautrāntika school says that the sense of blue manifestation
