To accept that gross things are pervaded by non-existence is because of confusing gross things and indivisible gross things as one, and not distinguishing between the one and the one of indivisible things. If such a difference is not well understood, even if one tries to deny that universals are real, in the end, one cannot avoid being the same in appearance, because according to one's own system, one must admit the reason that can establish different entities and one entity, just like the son of an ignorant woman. Also, because one tries to deny the characteristics of real things, one cannot avoid being the same as all universals, and one must admit that the grasping subject is not confused with the object to be grasped. Even with such effort, one cannot be liberated from samsara. Therefore, one should understand well that universals are established as real, and be proficient in the two truths that it is sufficient to admit that conditioned, impermanent, etc., are real. Second, to establish entry through the conceptualization of sound, the argument is: When the existence of sound itself is determined, when the three, sound, conditioned, and impermanent, are established, they are not each non-existent but exist in one meaning. Therefore, what is established as a reason is also establishing the very dharma to be established as a reason, thus leading to the non-establishment of one part of the commitment as a reason. Moreover, the determination of gradual wisdom also enters because it does not conform to the meaning, so it is merely a reversal. The answer is: the way wisdom appears, the way things exist, and the way to realize it. First, the three, sound, conditioned, and impermanent, appear separately in conceptualization like blue and yellow, and now they appear only gradually. The appearance is also mistaken, because it is not established as it appears. The reason for this is that if it were established as it appears, then when sound is established, it would become permanent, and, since these three are different entities, it would lead to the conditioned becoming permanent, and the impermanent must become unconditioned. Second, these three exist only in their own one nature, and the difference is only what is imputed by conceptualization. Even if the difference is only imputed by conceptualization, it should be admitted that it is a different nature, because if it is denied, it will harm the denier itself. Therefore, just as it is said that the difference between dharma and dharmata is imputed by conceptualization, but not in meaning. Although the three, sound, conditioned, and impermanent, are real, these three are the dharma to be understood, the dharma to be established, and the reason, which are only imputed by conceptualization. Like this

If manifest cognition must arise like the arrogance of a demon's skull. Therefore, even if one denies the three characteristics (rtags chos don gsum), the parts of conditioned, impermanent, and different, the manifest cognition will not cause harm. Even if it exists, it cannot appear to manifest cognition. If one denies that it does not exist, then generally it will be harmed by valid cognition (pramana), because it is established through inference. If one says that if manifest cognition does not see it, it must not exist, then there is no fault. Because it is only posited by conceptualization, it is not considered to be established by its own nature. If one admits that merely being posited by conceptualization and the ability to perform a function are contradictory, it would be like refuting the Madhyamaka view. Here, if one admits that it contradicts being established by valid cognition, then all conventions will be disturbed. The third is, sound, conditioned, and impermanent, only arise in a mind with sequential understanding, and are not established only in three sequential objects. In that case, the three objects will not be established simultaneously, because there is no valid cognition that establishes them simultaneously. If one says that, then the sign is not established. That is, the reason why doubt arises because only the conceptualization of existing sound is engaged in establishing, and establishing engagement in elimination, and it is unreasonable for doubt to arise about the conceptualization of sound that engages in the non-existent as existent, these three should be understood. The first is, in the face of the conceptualization that grasps "it is a pot," only the aspect of establishment appears, and the aspect of negation does not appear, therefore it is mistaken. The second is, if the wisdom that ascertains sound does not clarify the wrong conceptualization that grasps non-sound, then the ascertainment of sound will also become doubt about non-sound, therefore it must be cut off. That is, if it is an imputation, if it is not certain that the object is distinguished, then it will not be understood as sound, because it will not be understood as being different from non-sound. Therefore, if it is an imputation, it is certain that the object is distinguished, and it is not certain that the permanence above sound is distinguished, therefore it is established as having a distinguished object. Therefore, although the outsiders cut off the imputation of non-sound with the wisdom that ascertains sound, it is contradictory to think that it is not necessary to cut off non-sound. Cutting off imputation is through refuting the object, not like removing an external thorn. In that case, if one imputation is cut off, then all are cut off, and if it is not cut off, then not even one will be cut off. Therefore, manifest.
