There are two verses that say: Even if one attains ultimate nirvana, if one were to cycle back, then the Buddha would also cycle back. If that were the case, then for the sake of severing the cycle of birth and death, it would be meaningless for bodhisattvas to train in the conduct of bodhi, because even if one becomes a Buddha, one would still be born back into samsara. The answer to this is the four verses beginning with "condition": For this debate, one must distinguish whether or not one has inherently been liberated from suffering in order to answer. It is not possible to answer merely because the opponent also believes that the Buddha does not cycle back, while sentient beings cycle back in the mundane. Therefore, ultimate nirvana is not the abandonment of what should be abandoned through an antidote, but rather, by analyzing all phenomena with reason, based on familiarity or unfamiliarity with the path, arising and ceasing are not established. Nirvana is the severance of the cycle of birth and death through familiarity with the antidote, so that is the brief answer. If the continuum of conditions is not severed, then illusions will not cease and will still appear. If the continuum of conditions is severed, then it will not appear even in the mundane. "Also" means not only in the ultimate. To refute the Mind-Only school, stating their view, there are two verses that say: If all phenomena are unreal, like illusions, then the deluded knowledge that grasps at illusions

Briefly speaking, it is widely quoted in the Compendium of Trainings and the Clear Words. Among them, the Sutra states that consciousness arises dependent on an object, and without an object, it does not arise. The object here is the objective condition. Due to its power, the existence of external objects must be acknowledged. Are the object and the subject different or the same? If they are different, then the knowledge of the subject would become two. The so-called "different" is merely the difference in counter-nature and the difference in substance, which cannot impose that fault, therefore it is a real difference. In this way, the inference that the subject becomes two is that when the object, such as form, etc., applies an aspect to the knowledge of the subject, on the form, etc., a part of the substance of the subject's knowledge, that is, the apprehended aspect, also exists, so they will become real differences. If so, the subject will become two. If they are the same, then the mind mentioned here cannot see the mind, because it is contradictory for oneself to act on oneself. Just as a fingertip cannot touch itself, and a sword cannot cut itself, the mind cannot know itself. This is not certain. For example, just as a lamp illuminates both its own things and the things of others. The answer to this is that there are two cases for lamps, etc. The lamp cannot illuminate itself, because it is not obscured by darkness. As stated in the Root Wisdom, darkness will obscure itself, etc., which should also be understood in detail. Expressing the desire to establish self-awareness, there are four cases, such as crystal, etc. White crystal, appearing blue due to the influence of the base, is relative to other things, not its own nature. And lapis lazuli, etc., appearing blue, is not due to dependence on other things, but because its own nature is blue. Similarly, knowing certain things, such as form, etc., is not oneself, but depends on other knowledge. And the knowledge of the subject does not depend on other things, but knows itself. Refuting the example of "blue is" etc., there are two cases. The example that the blue of lapis lazuli is not caused by other reasons is unreasonable. Because in the case where blue itself is not caused by other reasons, blue itself has not become the owner of self-nature. Furthermore, even if the lamp cannot illuminate itself, the lamp is the illuminator. If you say so, and express it in this way, then, if knowledge cannot illuminate itself, then wisdom is bright, in this way, the substance of wisdom
