Furthermore, when realizing the ultimate truth, it cannot be made an object of direct perception as it is with dualistic appearances such as the two dharmas. This is because it must be realized directly through the cessation of the proliferation of dualistic appearances. Therefore, that which becomes the object of the valid cognition that realizes the ultimate truth is the characteristic of the ultimate truth. If we consider the special minds of conventional beings, all the wisdom of the Buddhas, and all the minds of learners that realize things as they are, and all the measurements of things not realized, are tainted by ignorance, and therefore cannot make the ultimate truth their object as it is. It is like seeing hairs and not seeing hairs depending on whether the eyes are tainted or not. As it is said in the Madhyamakavatara, the distinctions and explanations of terms should be understood in detail. What is said to be conventional is the signified. Mind is the characteristic, and by the power of the former, it is the object of the conventional mind. In this way, if one contradictory thing is cut off, the other is cut off, so it is easy to establish a definite number. The valid cognition that determines the characteristic is that when all truths are refuted by valid cognition, then the characteristic of the ultimate truth is determined. After that, when phenomena are realized to be like illusions, then the characteristic of the conventional truth is determined. The person who establishes this is in the verses beginning with 'to that'. If one wants to establish the two truths, then when entering the ground, the world sees two kinds of people: yogis of the Madhyamaka school who possess non-objective samadhi, and ordinary people who assert things as real. Among them, the philosophical tenets of the ordinary world that assert things as real are harmed by the reasoning of the yogic world. Even if they are not harmed by reasoning, they are harmed by the excellence of their minds, that is, they are overwhelmed. Those yogis also overwhelm and harm each other through the abandonment of what is to be abandoned on the paths and grounds above and below, and through the excellence of their qualities. If you ask how the philosophical tenets of ordinary people are harmed by the reasoning of yogis, it is in the one verse beginning with 'both'. That is, if the philosophical tenets of yogis can be proven to be without truth by reasoning, that is enough. This can be proven to those who assert things as real. For both, there are examples of falsehoods such as dreams and illusions that can be shown as examples of what is desired to be proven. Those who assert things as real do not need to prove the truth, because there are examples to show.

Because of non-existence. Secondly, the refutation of the debate that the Madhyamaka path has no need or function is the five lines beginning with "fruit." For example, in "Both are examples of desire," the Madhyamaka school says that it can establish that all dharmas are without inherent existence, but the proponents of entities take non-inherent existence to mean non-existence, and if so, then studying generosity etc. for the sake of the fruit of Buddhahood etc. would be meaningless, because everything is shown to be without inherent existence. In response to this, the answer is given, "fruit" etc., even if cause and effect are not true, in order to obtain the fruit or necessity of Buddhahood etc., do not examine generosity etc., not entering after examining with reason and establishing truth, but not examining, entering with the wisdom that understands falsehood as illusion, and if grasped by the wisdom that understands non-inherent existence, then it is the most excellent, if lacking the eye of realizing emptiness, the eye of intelligence will be covered by the obscuration of ignorance, and even if entering generosity etc., one will not obtain the name of paramita, and if possessing it, one will obtain it, as it is said in the sutras, "Blind people have no aim, there are hundreds of thousands of kotis" etc. If so, even if you say non-inherent existence, it is not merely a presumption of consciousness, but you admit that fire etc. can produce fruit for entities, then calling it truth, there is no need for debate between the Madhyamaka school and the proponents of entities, answering "world" etc., both the Madhyamaka school and the proponents of entities see and admit that entities such as fire etc. can function, which is undeniable, but the proponents of entities think that it is true and not false, thinking it is true, not saying that non-inherent existence is like illusion, the Madhyamaka school says that non-inherent existence is like illusion, therefore there is debate between yogis and worldly proponents of entities. The word "also" means not only what was said before. Refuting the contradiction between non-truth and direct perception is "form" etc., if there is no truth, then is it contradictory to directly perceive the five objects such as form etc.? For the five objects such as form etc., the direct perception of the eye etc. becomes a valid cognition, but only for the form etc. of reputation, not for their truth to become a valid cognition, if so, then the root seen nearby
