Moreover, the finger is also a collection of joints, and similarly, the smallest particle can be divided by the division of directions, therefore, the smallest particle is also not self-established, because it is separated from the self-established components, just like space. Therefore, neither the individual components of dust, etc., nor the collection, but merely established on the collection of components, without self-nature, so the object of clinging to reality, even a dust particle is not established, like the emptiness of space. If only the component parts and the things with component parts are blocked, then the very reason for blocking them will not be established, and it will become a slander of cause and effect. Therefore, it is necessary to generate a definite understanding of the unfailing karmic results like illusion as previously stated. Like this, for the form of dream-like without self-nature, who would be attached to a Madhyamika who has the wisdom to realize emptiness? Should not be attached. When the body is not true as mentioned above, how can men and women etc. be self-established? No. Like this, meditating on the body as the selflessness of space is the mindfulness of the body. Just as there are sixteen ways to see impermanence etc. in teaching the mindfulness of feelings, practicing the four mindfulnesses through the body's impurity, the suffering of feelings, etc., and the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment etc. related to this, is also spoken from the perspective of the trainable beings in order to guide some trainable beings towards selflessness. However, merely by practicing the mindfulness of feelings, the self-characteristic of which is suffering, and the general characteristic of which is blocking the coarse self of the person, it is impossible to destroy the object of clinging to the truth of feelings. Therefore, it is impossible to prevent craving from arising from feelings. Therefore, as previously said, feeling is the cause of craving, and craving arises from feeling. And the way it is, in general, the uncontaminated feeling, happiness, even the Buddha has, but how can the Buddha have suffering? There is none until there is no unpleasant suffering. And the feeling of the body, suffering, even the lower Arhats have, but they do not generate craving etc. And the way others arise is, from the causes of inner samadhi and outer objects, when a pleasant feeling arises in the realm of body consciousness, from this arises consciousness.

One is born into the nature of happiness, and even without those causes, happiness arises in the mind. In that case, happiness and craving for it naturally arise. Similarly, when experiencing suffering, anger, hatred, etc., arise towards it, which is due to grasping the feelings of happiness and suffering as true. By destroying the object of the true clinging to feelings and realizing it like the sky, craving, etc., will not arise from feelings. As it is said in the Compendium of Trainings, quoting the Sutra of Inexhaustible Intelligence, like feelings are without inherent nature, realizing that feelings are without inherent nature, and teaching the mindfulness of feelings, is suffering. If suffering itself is truly existent, once it arises, it would continuously arise without ceasing. Why would it not harm great joy? Because it harms, it would not give rise to happiness. The reason for not ceasing is: "The change of nature is never reasonable." Because it is established by nature, whether one looks at its essence or state, there is no change. Refuting the true establishment of happiness: Even if one changes the previous reasoning, it is permissible, but Tsongkhapa's writings say "it is true" etc. If happiness is truly established, then being tormented by the grief of a son's death etc., even if one enjoys delicious food, happiness will not arise. Since that is the case, why does enjoying those foods not bring joy? Because the happiness that previously arose from the causes of delicious food etc., its causal relationship is not truly established. Here, the refutation is made by targeting a subtle object of refutation, while in the Four Hundred Verses, the refutation is not made by targeting that, but it is said: "How is it seen that increasing happiness is prevented?" etc. As it is said, when one is threatened by heat, relying on shade etc. will temporarily give rise to a feeling of happiness, but if one relies on it for a long time, the suffering of cold will also arise. This is because in the state where the previous suffering of heat has decreased, a feeling of happiness arises, and when the suffering is exhausted, the suffering of cold arises. Therefore, wanting happiness, its basis is suffering, so it is only happiness that is a remedy for suffering, there is no happiness that is inherently existent. Suffering is, if one relies too much on its cause, happiness will not arise, so the reason that suffering has its own characteristic is widely proclaimed by the Kadampa Geshes.
