Since it is clear, no matter how others regard matter and consciousness, it is sufficient to merely shift the blame placed on these two, so here, only the views of these two are listed and refuted. This includes refuting the Samkhya and Vaisheshika schools. First, there is the statement of the view, and then the refutation. First is: If, etc., this is one sentence. The Samkhya's view is that all dharmas are determined to be twenty-five knowables, among which the principal, etc., the twenty-four are all matter. Although the principal knows how to distinguish various transformations, it does not know enjoyment. Only the conscious Purusha is the knower and enjoys the objects. This is like a double-sided mirror, one side of which reflects the image of objects such as form, and the other side, the inner side, reflects the image of the self-conscious Purusha's own experience. When these two images are mixed like fire and iron, the conscious Purusha thinks that it is hearing sounds, etc. As for whether the object sound and the subject consciousness are considered permanent, generally there are four possibilities, so refuting them is similar to this. But here, the Samkhya school believes that both the subject consciousness Purusha and the object sound are permanent. If the object is permanent, then the fault of always hearing will occur, although others have said this, but here the fault is pointed out from the perspective of the subject. The refutation is: all, etc. At all times, one will grasp sound and hear sound, because the subject consciousness Purusha who grasps sound is permanent. If it is said that even if there is a subject, one does not hear sound between the disappearance of the previous sound and the generation of the next sound because there is no knowable sound. Then, in this case, it should not be said that the subject knows sound through what. If it is said that even if there is no knowable, it can still be known, then trees will also become knowers, because they are the same. Therefore, it can be determined that without the proximity of the knowable object, there will be no knowledge. Even in cases like ego-grasping, although there is no object of image, there is an object of aim. If the permanent Purusha who hears sound also knows color, then when knowing color, why not hear sound? Sound should be heard. If it is said that even if one knows color, one does not hear sound, it is because the object

If it is said that it is because sound is not close to that possessor. Then, at that time, since the object is soundless, therefore, for that possessor of the object, there is also no knowing. Furthermore, how can the nature of holding sound become holding form? Because these two are contradictory. For example, just as one person becomes a father and a son by depending on different objects of dependence, is it that one establishes objects and possessors of objects by depending on the changes and nature of form, sound, etc.? Although one person being a father and a son is mentally fabricated, it is not actually so. Your meaning must also be truly established, so it is not similar. It is like this, and so on, the two lines. The wise person must see that it is the nature of holding sound, because it is not seen, therefore, it is not the holder. Just as one dancer becomes different because of different clothes, if that person sees the nature of sound, etc., in a way different from what was seen before, then it becomes impermanent. If the different ways of the later white clothes, etc., are the ways of the previous clothes, etc., themselves. Then, this is unreasonable, because the later unique one is the unique one that did not exist before. If the different ways such as blue are not true there, then please say what its own true nature is, there is nothing to say. If the wise person is the true nature of those, then all persons will become one, because the indivisible part and the permanent dharma have been promised. The mind-self and the non-mind chief, etc., will also become one, because they are only the same in existence. When the difference or manifestation is reversed, what is the reason for those to be pervaded by the similarity of the general characteristics of the chief, etc.? There is none. The Vaisheshika's self is obstructive, and it knows the object because it has a combined relationship with the mind. Refuting this is the non-mind, etc., the obstructive nature of the non-mind is also not the self, because the non-mind itself exists outside of the mind, just like a vase, etc. Again, it is said that not only is the mind not the self. If I have a mind, that is, I know the object by establishing a combined relationship with it, then that I did not know the object before, that will become destroyed, because later knowing the object is due to the power of other causes. Mind
