If we combine these explanations and say it in a way that is consistent with them, it would be better. Previously, it was said that there is no other impermanence in things, and it was also said that the Dharma produced by conceptual thought is the meaning of what is said. For colors and so on, and all of its made impermanence and so on, there is not the slightest difference in things, as they are taken by direct perception as they are. Following that direct perception, the conceptual thought that focuses on the same object as it, what reason is there to apply different sounds to those things that appear to be different? If you say that these two contradict each other, then from all the contradictions of non-sound, non-made, permanent, etc., of the same and different kinds, it is the removal. With the reason that the various Dharmas of removal appear in conceptual thought, for the meaning of sound and its made impermanence and so on, in which there is no difference in substance in things, the mind that determines hair and its made impermanence and so on, and the words that the mind interprets, like the words and minds that depend on the difference in substance such as bottles and felt, there will not be many applications. This shows that the sound self-character is like one, from the substance of the made impermanence born from its own cause, established as the reason for being born comfortably and inseparably, removed from non-sound, non-made, permanent, etc., and abiding in things. The things that abide like that are taken by direct perception as they are, and through the arising of habitual imprints, in the conceptual thought that follows that direct perception, it appears to be removed from non-sound, non-made, permanent, etc. Like that, in conceptual thought, the appearance of each removal that is removed from each place of removal, as the meaning of sound, shows the application of different sounds, thereby answering the previous view. If direct perception sees the sound self-character as one, just as it sees its substantial parts, and conceptual thought also determines the removal of sound as one, then do I also understand all of its removal Dharmas? If conceptual thoughts do not have the cause of confusion that is defiled by habitual imprints, then external things such as form and sound should abide in their own nature as they are, and the self-grasping conceptual mind that makes it the appearing object should arise in accordance with it. If so, it will become the accomplishment entry that does not confuse the appearing object, so sound...

If one thing is ascertained, then all its opposite qualities must be ascertained. However, since all discriminations arise as a mistaken appearance of a single imputation due to being tainted by habit, if it is said that if one thing is ascertained, then all its opposite qualities do not necessarily need to be ascertained, like becoming a child without signs, then it will not become a repetition of meaning and will become good. Or, add at the juncture of "or else" etc. In order to show how some of one's own schools consider destruction itself to be impermanence, like "the sun is hidden." The Vaibhashikas say, "Or, if destruction is established from the sign of non-apprehension," this is because, according to these statements, this shloka is stating the view of another of one's own schools that considers destruction to be a single meaning. However, nowhere before or after is there a statement of a different view that the Vaibhashika's view is like this, nor is there a single instance of stating that the heretics answer their own system in this way and the Vaibhashikas do it in this way. It seems necessary to consider what necessity there is for saying it this way only in this case. Moreover, if one previously realizes that color is impermanent, relying on a sign, then if it is led by inference and direct perception, it is analytical wisdom, so it is said that it is not a third pramana. If someone says, the continuous cessation of color, the destruction and disappearance in the second moment, is the impermanence of that color. The impermanence of color is not the substance of color, so it is not established by direct perception. Nor is it realized from the sign of being made, etc. Therefore, the pramana that realizes it is the third pramana. If that is the case, then it is like admitting to being the same as those in one's own school who consider destruction to be a single meaning. Even then, it is not necessary to accept a third pramana, because impermanence is the substance of color, or, in this view that the destruction of color is the impermanence of color, the destruction of color must be established from the sign of non-apprehension, because in that view, the object that previously existed later disappears is said to be the impermanence of that object. Such a later color, previously perceived by direct perception, is not perceived in the second moment, so it is established that it disappears in the second moment. Destruction, destruction.
