If it is considered that the ascertainment of understanding the impermanence of color after the direct perception that does not grasp the cessation of the continuity of color is indeed a valid cognition, then, in order to show that it is an inferential cognition and not a valid cognition, the "other" etc. are used to express the actual answer of one's own system, including refuting the debate. Or, with "also here" etc., it is explained that even in the views of other schools of one's own system, understanding the impermanence of color is not the third valid cognition, or there are other ways of explaining it, but it will be explained at that time. The "any two extremes" etc. are meanings derived from these, and the way of derivation will also be explained at that time. That is, if it is not relying on the reason to understand the impermanence of color, then it is unreasonable to think that the ascertainment of understanding the impermanence of color that arises after the direct perception that does not see the cessation of the continuity of color is a valid cognition itself. Because it is an inferential cognition that remembers and grasps what the previous valid cognition that leads itself has already grasped. The reason for saying this is that from the color object at the time of the cessation of continuity, its impermanence is not another entity, but its entity that is inseparable from itself and its establishment. Therefore, when the direct perception grasps the color object itself, it must also grasp its impermanence. Moreover, the last color is also established by the sense direct perception that saw the last color before the subsequent ascertainment. Because this color is a color that cannot be connected with the subsequent similar kind. The moment when the ascertainment of understanding the impermanence of color, which is guided by the power of direct perception, arises is the moment when the continuity of color ceases outside the last moment of color. In the case of connecting without interrupting the similar kind, the direct perception seen from afar cannot lead to the certainty of its impermanence. When the direct perception that measures the last color at the time of the cessation of continuity measures its impermanence, there is neither the co-born nor the imputed permanent grasping that mistakenly thinks that color is permanent in that person's mind, because in order to mistake things as permanent, it is necessary to have both the appearance of other similarities and the uninterruptedness. If it is said that because "the impermanence of color" must be expressed as a dharma and a possessor of dharma with the sixth case, it must be considered as another entity, then there is no need to think so, because color and impermanence are multiple entities, that is, different.

Because it is incorrect to express things as dharma and dharmin using the sixth case, it is only by relying on the difference dharma of the two, which are produced and imputed by conceptual thought, that the two are expressed as dharma and dharmin-like using the sixth case. Therefore, if it is said that the reason and inference used to establish the impermanence of color are meaningless, then, when one sees another color like the last color that does not have the cause of mistaking color as permanent, for the subsequent conceptual thought, that last color that appears as the basis of the universal is established by direct perception. For that subsequent conceptual thought, the impermanence itself that appears as the universal that follows is established and realized by direct perception, so there is no need to apply inference for it. However, in some cases, such as connecting similar later ones, if the impermanence of that color is not established and realized by the power of direct perception, then, in order to establish and realize that color as such impermanence, one infers the impermanence of color based on the reason, so there is no fault. If it is said that if direct perception grasps the impermanence of color, then not realizing it is contradictory, then, in some cases where colors arise continuously one after another, although the direct perception of looking outward sees the impermanence of color, there is a reason why one cannot fully understand and is uncertain as one sees it, because that person's mindstream is controlled by the cause of confusion that grasps the before and after as one and cannot be certain. For example, just like not being able to determine the difference between two eggs and mistakenly grasping them as one. That is controlled by such a cause of confusion, because the internal cause of confusion, that person's low intelligence, and the external cause of confusion, the continuous existence and the arising of other similar things, are present at that time. The reason for confusion is that the moments of color before and after, although they appear as different in direct perception, that is, not mixed, but because of the continuous connection of similar things, conceptual thought does not see those parts before and after as different, but clings to them as one. Although the moments before and after appear unmixed in direct perception, the opposite of the difference between the moments before and after does not appear in direct perception, because that is the characteristic of the universal imputed by conceptual thought. That person's mindstream
