Therefore, if the thing itself disappears, then the result and the pervaded things will surely disappear. How can such a measure determine that the pervasion of the signs of non-apprehension of the related pair is correct? By saying this, other wrong ideas are also refuted incidentally. By the power of the measure determining the relationship, it must be determined that the pervasion is correct. This shows that the dharma that is attached arbitrarily by cognition without relying on the determination of the relationship. When proving that sound is impermanent, in order to prove this, the side that is the same as the subject listed, or any side, excludes the case where the pervasion is incorrect. Because that sign, when impermanence disappears, there is no certainty of disappearing, so it can also be used to prove that sound is constant, etc. As for "any one", etc., what is extracted from "etc."? Lhawang Lo said: "Saying 'etc.' means that I have taken what I have promised and what is proven by scripture." The former said is that meaning, because I promised it to be so. The latter does not mean that there is no credible sign, but that meaning, because the scripture says so. This shows the sign of pervasive error. If the thing itself disappears, things will disappear. For this sentence, the pervading dharma, such as fire and wood, etc., disappearing, is considered to be the pervaded object, such as smoke and meat, etc., disappearing. If the cause and the pervading disappear, its own disappearance, if it is completely determined by the measure on the basis of some forms of the subject, then it is considered to be an indication. If it is not completely determined by the measure, but only by the measure determining the pervasive relationship, then it is not. In La's commentary, "some forms" appear. The way that commentary explains it is: "If the thing itself disappears, things will disappear." Therefore, the thing itself disappears, which proves that the thing disappears. In general, it is not clearly stated what kind of thing disappears and what kind of thing disappears. For this, it is not that anything disappears can be understood, but that the pervading dharma disappears, which is considered to be an indication of the pervaded object disappearing. Moreover, it is not enough for just the thing to disappear. If

At this time, through not seeing the obstructive valid cognition that refutes the debater, the contradictory relationship of cause and effect and pervasion and pervader themselves, when completely severed in the form of valid cognition, is considered to be the knower, so it is said. It is connected with the dharma of the pervader. This should also be understood as showing that the non-seeing of cause and pervader is the guide. It is written in the text. In its commentary, Shakya Blo says: This also shows that the non-seeing of cause and pervader is the guide, because the cause is also the pervader of the effect, therefore it is shown by the word pervader. Such is the meaning. As it is said, the words of the treatise are not only about not seeing the pervader, but the word pervader generally shows fire and wood, etc., and the word pervaded generally shows the meaning of smoke and grass, etc. Then, is the way of determining the relationship, such as establishing the absence of a pot by not seeing the pot, the same as those? If it is said that in the cause of the clay pot—the lump of clay—establishing the absence of a pot, whatever says that the valid cognition of the seeing of the pot itself does not exist as a reason, that is like the Samkhya school being deluded, in the case where the term of not seeing as non-existence is not established, it is established for the meaning of establishing that not seeing the pot is the term of non-existence. The debater who must establish it in that way is extremely ignorant, because he is also confused about the term of not seeing the pot as non-existence circulating among shepherds and women. Therefore, its non-deceptive pervasion is accomplished from the determination of the connection established in the form of the absence of a pot and the non-seeing of a pot. The non-seeing grasped by words, actually established as a reason, is only these three, in the self-side dharma becoming the basis, for the meaning or term of the absence of the dharma to be eliminated, it has the result of generating certainty, not others. When do those non-seeings establish non-existence? Those non-seeings establish their own dharma to be eliminated as non-existent, also when the cause or nature of the dharma to be eliminated exists in that basis, for the external debater at that time, from the perspective of what should appear, those do not appear at that time.
