That's the end of "Ra ro." The verse beginning with "Ultimately" is used by Ornament as an intermediate verse. Its meaning, as explained by Yamaari, is that in the process of establishing a definite number, the two truths of the Sautrāntika school are explained as a side effect, which is the meaning explained by the intermediate verse. Jina-cakra also seems to have a similar meaning. Although "the sun is hidden" is actually applied to the refutation of the argument that claims the ultimate secret of the Vedas, that argument also seems to be arguing about the pervasiveness of the signs mentioned above for establishing that the object of measurement is two. Therefore, this treatise applies those signs to the establishment of pervasiveness, which is the view of that commentary. The characteristic of being able to accomplish things, etc., by the power of the gods, is related to one's own characteristics, etc. "What is the ultimate ability to accomplish things?" etc., should also be related to this. The meaning of what is said is: because of being able and unable to accomplish things, the meaning of arranging the four signs is very clear in the comparison and combination, and it is also very consistent with the intention of the treatise. If everything is powerless, from "If everything is powerless" to "because it depends on its opposite," is the refutation of what is said in "Ultimately," etc., that the ability to accomplish things exists ultimately. In order to extensively establish that if one is able to accomplish things, it pervades the self-characteristic, and the object of measurement that is unable to accomplish things pervades the general characteristic, first it is established that if it is a general characteristic, it pervades the inability to accomplish things, i.e., from "Because it is the object of expression, it is not a real thing" to "There is no other kind different from the entity." On this, Lha-wang-lo explains those treatises by dividing them into eight kinds of reasoning methods for establishing that general characteristics are not real things, while Ornament and its followers explain them by dividing them into four kinds of reasoning methods. Therefore, "Therefore, it" etc., one verse summarizes the meaning established by those reasoning methods, and from the opposite, it shows that if one is able to accomplish things, etc., it pervades the self-characteristic, i.e., "What is the opposite of what is said," these are two verses. Although the general characteristic is not a real thing, it explains the way of distinguishing through the basis, i.e., "Both real and unreal things." Thus, among those two objects of measurement, the one that is able to accomplish the things that the person desires to accomplish is only the self-characteristic, and both valid cognitions also ultimately end with the object of measurement, the self-characteristic.

A thugpa is needed. Even so, inference cannot make the knowable self-characterized object of complete knowledge appear as an object of manifestation. Instead, it takes the common characteristic, which is different from its own nature, as the object of manifestation, and completely knows the knowable by mistaking it for a single appearance. Direct perception, on the other hand, completely knows the knowable by taking the self-characterized object of knowledge, which it directly knows, as the object of manifestation, just as its own nature exists. Therefore, since the difference between the two valid cognitions in terms of the object of apprehension is so clearly defined, it is said that the knowable is determined as both self-characterized and general from the perspective of the object of apprehension. This is a statement that includes debate and refutation. "One's own characteristic, one knowable," and so on. This well explains the reason why valid cognition is determined as both direct perception and inference because the knowable is determined as both self-characterized and general. Even from the perspective of the knowable that is to be completely known by valid cognition, it is determined as both manifest and hidden, and in this way it also shows that valid cognition is determined as two. And, the knowable that is completely known, manifest and hidden, are each determined separately, and in this way, how the definitions of the two valid cognitions, direct perception and inference, are established separately, including the content from "For whom, the function of meaning" to "The number of three and one is eliminated." Then, for those who have said so, refuting the arguments of those who want other numbers, from "Non-existence is not knowable, because it is not an object of knowledge" to "It is not memory, because it is confusion" is explained. After expressing the meaning in such a concise way, first, the meaning of establishing the determination of the number of knowables in the meaning of the treatise will be explained. Some people think that valid cognition is determined as both direct perception and inference, and there must be no valid cognition that is neither direct perception nor inference. If valid cognition itself is valid cognition, and is neither direct perception nor inference, then the determination of the number of valid cognitions will collapse, which is very absurd. According to your statement, not only here, but for the determination of the number of four direct perceptions, and the determination of the number of five aggregates, etc., if the basis of distinction is admitted, the determination of number cannot be established. If the determination of the number of distinctions is established, then merely admitting the basis of distinction itself will cause the determination of that number to collapse. Therefore, no determination of number can be established. Therefore, for valid cognition to be determined as two,
