It is considered that there is a contradiction. Acknowledging the aforementioned prerequisite as one's own tenet. If understood, then error is not valid cognition. Who would acknowledge retaining the aforementioned prerequisite as one's own tenet? Furthermore, in the definition of manifestation, merely mentioning non-erroneousness excludes inference. Even so, in order to exclude wrong views, being free from conceptualization is also mentioned. Explaining the reason why inference is erroneous consciousness as it is clinging to something that is not it, this is clearly stated by the teacher Dharmakirti. In the Hetubindu it says: Similarly, inference is also erroneous because it clings to something that is not it. Therefore, mentioning non-erroneousness excludes inference. Being free from conceptualization is for the sake of excluding wrong views. As it is clearly explained. For you, all of this will become unreasonable. Teacher Chapa says: Conceptualization is not pervasive with error in the appearing object, because the conceptualization that grasps the knowable does not erroneously understand the appearing object, because the general meaning of its own appearing object appears as the knowable, because it is the knowable. Saying this is unreasonable, because as it is said, its nature is external, and it looks like one. Because for that mind, its own appearance appears similar to the knowable, but is not one, therefore it is pervasive with the appearance of something that is not it. Sound generality or meaning generality, whichever it is. Because it is the appearing object of conceptualization. The pervasion of saying this is obtained from the meaning of the scripture, therefore the general characteristic is not pervaded by the appearing object of conceptualization. If the basis is established, then it is pervaded by the object of clinging of conceptualization. Now I will explain the literal meaning of the scripture. In the commentary of Lhawang Blo, when presenting the prerequisite, by refuting the two syllogisms of the rebuttal meaning thrown by refutation, the first syllogism is the one just mentioned above, indicating that merely clinging to the light of a jewel as a jewel is uncertain. Understanding is also seen through other means. The second syllogism is: Whatever is understood through anything becomes its nature. For example, the eye understands color. Inference also understands its own definition, which is considered to be the reason for its own nature. To the point that is presented, the answer is given that it is not established. To this view, an answer has already been given.

Moreover, if it is a valid cognition, it will not be a delusion. And so on, extensively explaining the uncertainty of taking the light of a jewel for a jewel. As it is said in "the light of a jewel lamp," and so on. It is not a delusion, because it is a valid cognition. Regarding this pervasion, by explaining that this mind is uncertain, it is clear in the system of the commentary that this mind is a valid cognition. Shakya Bhikshu explained that subsequent inference is a valid cognition. Therefore, the Omniscient One said that refuting that this is a valid inference from the root is clear that it refutes the system of the commentary. Among them, if we summarize and express the meaning of the commentary that Dharmakirti extensively refutes, it is like this: It is unreasonable to think that taking the light of a jewel for a jewel is considered by the teacher as an inference and cited as an example. And it is unreasonable to infer based on the sign of either the jewel or the light of the jewel. It is unreasonable to be merely a valid cognition. And avoiding disputes. The first point is: It is unreasonable to say that taking the light of a jewel for a jewel is considered by the teacher as an inference and cited as an example. Because what these texts need to refute is that the debater is deceived because he is confused about the object of acceptance of the inference, therefore it is not a valid cognition, which is a slander against the valid cognition of merely being an inference, therefore, it is very unreasonable to cite a special inference as an example. The faculty of the eye makes things clear without seeing its own essence, while the lamp makes things clear through the way its own essence is clear in the field of consciousness. And, the reasons are to understand the hidden things from the certainty of following and reversing with the dharma to be proven. Because there is no definite connection in this. If it is said that there is a jewel in this place, because there is a sign of a jewel. Then, because one does not think of the hidden way that there is a jewel in this place, but thinks that the light of the jewel that is seen manifestly is a jewel, therefore one is very confused about the object of acceptance. The second point is: If it is said that there is a jewel in this place, because what is seen is either a jewel or the light of a jewel. Then, that is an uncertain, unestablished reason that causes hesitation.
