Or is it a difference? It is not the desire for the difference of appearing separately. As it is said and so on, it is a fallacy to say that it is unreasonable to establish the difference between manifest and hidden objects for those two minds. This shows that if it is hidden for that mind, it contradicts the appearing object of that mind, thus clearly preventing those who acknowledge the Lokayata school that claims the appearing object of self-characterizing conceptualization. The second point is explained by the reasoning of establishing the generality as non-existent. First, the summary of the treatise should be stated, that is, by "having lineage" etc., preventing the Samkhya school from considering the general appearance as one entity, and the Vaisheshika school from considering it as another entity, because the general appearance is neither one entity nor another, so establishing the reason for establishing non-self-nature. Therefore, non-self-nature is established. This is the meaning of it. Among them, there are two points: "no refutation". Although it is not a real thing, the necessity of generally establishing and expressing it in words is: Therefore, the essence and so on. Because the generality is merely imputed, it shows that the general mind is confused, that is: In that, appearing as the essence or etc. In the generality of self-school's other-elimination, there are two kinds, of which the establishment of the non-affirming other-elimination generality as non-existent is: The things of etc. In the process of establishing the mind's other-elimination generality as non-existent, it shows that the general mind is conceptually confused, that is: those without essence etc., and establishing the generality of its appearing object as false, that is: that is also because of deception, etc. For those who claim that one's own appearance and substance are neither one nor other, therefore there is no substance established, refute the argument: if the statement etc. And the outsiders believe that the generality of the grasped object of general grasping conceptualization, because it has the characteristic of real things, so establish the sound conceptualization to enter, prevent: the past and etc., until: made by the listener. Now we should explain those that need to be explained in the words. Among them, the generality of the Samkhya school, mainly the nature that follows the blue is which part, also believes that it also follows the yellow etc., as it has been said in the first chapter. Preventing it, that is: the manifestation of having a lineage, the nature of blue is which part, in the way that that part becomes the nature of yellow, it is common to both of them.

Therefore, it must belong to the category of following the commonality. Because the nature of the blue appearance is no different from the nature of the other yellow appearance. The Vaibhashika says: If the common appearance is a single entity, then there would be that fault. However, according to our view, they are considered to be different entities, so there is no fault. If so, then does the commonality depend on the appearance, or does the appearance depend on the commonality? If it is the first case, then the commonality, as the subject, should be considered the result of the appearance, because a relationship of dependence on the appearance is established between the appearance and the different entity. If admitted, then the commonality contradicts permanence. If it is the second case, then the appearance, as the subject, should be considered the result of the commonality, because a relationship of dependence on the commonality is established between the commonality and the different entity. If admitted, then the commonality contradicts permanence. If the commonality is not the cause and effect of the appearance, then the commonality must be unrelated to the appearance, because neither the relationship of the same entity nor the relationship arising from it is established. If admitted, then it is not permissible to use the term "this appearance is this commonality" in a meaningful way. Therefore, for all the appearances of a pot, the common consciousness that thinks "this is a pot" cannot operate in a meaningful way, just like a drill and the snowy mountain (Mount Kailash). If the commonality is not the cause and effect of the appearance, but another entity, then what contradiction is there in establishing a relationship? If so, if the commonality is related to a permanent thing, then that relationship must be truly established, and the Vaibhashika also admits that the relationship is truly established. Therefore, if the cause-and-effect relationship is not just a conceptual assumption, then how can there be a real relationship between other entities that are not cause and effect? This is what is meant by "from one's own cause," etc. First, the refutation of the truly existing cause-and-effect relationship is shown, for example, assuming that the sprout has already been produced from the seed, therefore it no longer depends on the seed. If it is said that "what is produced from the cause is not the effect," then that is too extreme. Therefore, as the god said: "Therefore, after it is produced, the seed, etc., will not produce anything at all, therefore." As said, the sprout, as the subject, must not depend on the seed when it has already been produced, because it has been completely produced from its own cause. If admitted, then "this sprout is the result of this seed" is just an assumption that establishes a connection through concepts.
