It is said, "Although there is a cause, it did not arise." In general, although there is a cause for producing that dharma, in that time and place, the causes for producing that dharma are not complete, and the aspect of not arising is established as the future. It is not the case that the aspect of not arising, which is impossible to produce that dharma at any time or place, is established as the future. Therefore, merely not appearing or not arriving is established as the definition of the future, which is not understanding the distinction stated in "although there is a cause." Moreover, in the treatises of the Great Vehicle school, the two times of past and future of that dharma are established in relation to the present time of that dharma, and there are many such establishments, which contradict this. Therefore, an example of the past is like the aspect of the sprout itself being destroyed in the second time, and an example of the future is like the aspect of the sprout not arising in the eastern field in winter due to the lack of causes and conditions, and an example of the present is like the sprout itself. The definition of the past is: the time you establish must be established in dependence on the self-time of a certain thing, and the self-time of the thing that is relied upon has already passed. The definition of the future is: the time you establish must be established in dependence on the self-time of a certain thing, and the dharma has not arrived at the self-time of the thing that is relied upon. The definition of the present is: the dharma that arises in its own time and has not ceased. Some say: The destruction of the pot, the subject, is destruction, because it is past. If you admit it, then the pot is not destroyed, because the destruction of the pot is destruction. If it is not pervasive, then two negations cannot understand the truth, saying this is meaningless, because it is very much admitted that the pot is not destroyed. Moreover, for the eastern field lacking water and fertilizer, has the sprout that has not arisen arisen or not arisen? If it has arisen, then if it is the future, then it is pervasive that it is not a thing, and you yourself have already admitted this, which is a mistake. If it has not arisen, then, for such a field, the subject, the sprout has arisen, because the sprout that has not arisen is not arisen. All three turns are admitted. If it is not pervasive, then two negations cannot understand the truth, therefore again all three turns are refuted. Those who say this have completely not understood the meaning of two negations understanding the truth, because the destruction of the pot is not substantially contradictory to either the pot or the pot that is not destroyed,

Because the three aggregates that are not two do not exist. Therefore, understanding reality through two negations is only considered to be actually contradictory through the means of complete exclusion and total exclusion. Furthermore, the destruction of a sprout is the past time of the sprout, the non-birth of a sprout is the future time of the sprout, and the time when a sprout has been born and has not ceased is the present time of the sprout. Therefore, whether a sprout is present or not must be measured by the sprout's own time. It is not the case that because the person who performs the negation and affirmation of time does not exist at the time he is speaking, the sprout is considered not to be present, because the fact that the person does not exist at the time he is speaking does not lead to the non-existence of the sprout's own time. It is for this very reason that saying that something revered by many past kings is a present thing means that at the time when it is revered by many kings, it is a present thing. And saying that tomorrow's thing is a present thing also means that tomorrow's own time is the time when the thing is present. Therefore, the future crop is present in its own time, is born and has not ceased, and has already arisen. At the time when the crop naturally matures, there is no need to work hard at farming in order to make that crop arise. Therefore, the future crop, has the property. Your real things, etc., should not have to arise now, because you have already arisen now. If you admit it, then it becomes meaningless to work hard at farming in order for you to arise, etc. Saying many such things is because you do not understand the real commitment, and you use inference to make yourself be considered an animal. If the crop of the coming year has already arisen at its own time of maturity, then does it need to arise this year? People with a little wisdom should understand this! Like you, saying that the crop of the coming year is not a real thing, then that crop, has the property. It should be permanent, because it is a dharma that is not established as a real thing. If you say that, what will you say? If you admit it, then it is meaningful to work hard at farming in order for you to arise. Saying that cause and effect are real things and impermanent is like disguising oneself as a ghost cursed by an evil wish. This is not the language of Dharma to be learned, but rather disguising oneself as a Shākya renunciate. Know that admitting permanent cause and effect is a true demon race! That is how it is.
