If there are other reasons, then wherever wisdom arises, that is universal, in that case. If there are other reasons, then wisdom exists, like arguing that way. Therefore, just because there are other reasons such as signs and efforts, if the arising of self-awareness is pervaded by universal characteristics, then the hair-like illusion appearing in mistaken sensory perception would become a universal characteristic, which is absurd. This is the debate. The answer is: For those appearing hair-like illusions, etc., there are interruptions. They are not universal characteristics, because those who are proficient in signs do not have attachment to meaning. It is very bad for most people to say this, because the fallacy of the five aspects is uncertain for the pervasion that we have accepted, and it excludes what is not desired, but he has not accepted the hair-like illusion as a universal characteristic. For this, there is no fault of uncertain pervasion, merely stating a reason for not accepting the fallacy without giving an answer of acceptance, what will it become? Think carefully. The meaning is this: If there are other reasons, then wisdom exists, for this statement, the hair-like illusion appearing in mistaken sensory perception, etc., there will be no fault of becoming a universal characteristic, because the wisdom of mastering signs arising from conditions such as signs and efforts, in any way, does not take the hair-like illusion appearing in mistaken sensory perception as meaning or object and have attachment. Therefore, by showing that the reason for that fallacy is not established, it is said that there is no fault of becoming that fallacy. Then, non-existent things like the absence of a pot would also become non-universal, because there is no attachment to meaning? For the absence of a pot, etc., there will be no fallacy of that fault, because even if there is no attachment to external meanings, it is perceived and attached to as knowable through the way of distinguishing and negating. Then, the hair-like illusion appearing in mistaken sensory perception also, will think it is similar to a true hair-like illusion, etc., because through the concept of thinking it is similar to a true hair-like illusion, etc., it is knowable, so it will become knowable, which is absurd. The hair-like illusion appearing in those mistaken sensory perceptions, also for the concept of attachment that appears as something similar to a true hair-like illusion like now, as a phenomenon appearing like a hair-like illusion, there is no prohibition of being a universal characteristic, because it is the object of apprehension of the concept that apprehends in that way. If the sensory perception in mistaken sens

If the hair seen in a blurry vision is not a real object, how does it appear clearly? It is because for the blurred eye consciousness of someone with eye disease, it appears clearly as hair, and this itself is a phenomenon. There is no fault of being non-substantial, because it is the nature of the sense consciousness that apprehends by making its own appearance the object, that is, the very meaning that has become a substance. Therefore, the conceptual minds that grasp "similar to hair, etc." are those that have a general object of experience, and like the appearance of hair in a mistaken sense consciousness, they are devoid of a grasped object. These words are to dispel the doubts about not clearly distinguishing the differences between the appearance of hair to conceptual thought, the appearance of hair to mistaken sense consciousness, and the hair that appears to mistaken sense consciousness, by sequentially distinguishing between general characteristics and specific characteristics, and non-knowable things, to dispel doubts. The very fact that it appears clearly is because it is the meaning of the nature of consciousness. The above is the first paragraph. And, a general description is made of the appearance to conceptual thought. If the clear appearance of hair to sense consciousness is the substance of consciousness, then for the conceptual thought that grasps form, the general characteristic that appears as different from form must be admitted as the general characteristic of the consciousness of conceptual thought, the substance in the sense of its nature. If that is the case, then the general characteristic would become a specific characteristic. If asked in this way, then there are two parts to this: the very substance of the conceptual thought that grasps form, due to the power of habit, gives rise to an appearance like being different from form, that apprehended aspect is the substance of consciousness, therefore it is a specific characteristic, because it is admitted in this way, so there is no fault of contradiction because it is not a general characteristic. For the conceptual thought that grasps form, the clear appearances of form are different from form, that is the meaning, that is, the general characteristic of the nature of the object of apprehension of conceptual thought, therefore it is not a specific characteristic. How is it a general characteristic? Although that is a general characteristic established by conceptual thought, it is a general characteristic that follows all the clear appearances of form in the same way with its own nature. And, those clear appearances of form, because they depend on the sense consciousness appearing as different from form from the perspective of being born from their own cause, therefore, for the conceptual thought generated by that sense consciousness, the clear appearances of form also appear as different from form. The reason for all the general characteristics being the same in nature is because it depends on its opposite. It is also fine to connect it in this way.
