That which exists and is visible is therefore called the form aggregate. Thus it is said. These respective characteristics are not necessarily opposite in meaning, but rather describe the main aspects of their respective natures. Feeling is characterized by the experience of pleasure, pain, and equanimity. Perception is the discernment of external signs, such as blue and yellow, and internal signs, such as pleasure and pain. Signs are the characteristics of objects. Formation is the active formation of conditioned phenomena, which is other than the other four aggregates. The individual awareness of each object, such as form and sound, is the nature of consciousness. The nature of the aggregates is the nature of suffering and the elements, and its nature is like a venomous snake that harms others after being caught, binding beings in samsara. The sources The Buddha said that they are the source of suffering and the gateway to birth. These three refer to the aggregates, elements, and sources of samsara. Whatever arises in dependence, its nature is completely distinguished by the combination of causes and conditions. Secondly, the characteristic of generosity is the mind that completely gives up body, possessions, and roots of virtue. The characteristic of ethics is obtaining the coolness of freedom from the suffering of afflictions. The characteristic of patience is the absence of anger, and the mind is able to endure and abide in it. The characteristic of diligence is joy in fully upholding faultless virtue. The characteristic of meditation is the mind abiding in one-pointedness on a virtuous object for the purpose of gathering all virtuous dharmas. The characteristic of wisdom is non-attachment, and for the sake of proceeding to nirvana, there is no attachment to any dharma, that is, no clinging to truth, because it is for the sake of cessation. Thus, the characteristics of the six perfections are said in the sutras to be those described above. The four dhyanas, beginning with the first dhyana, and the four immeasurables, beginning with loving-kindness, and similarly, other than the first two, the samadhi of the formless absorptions such as infinite space

Those four "ga" syllables are said by the Buddha, who knows them as they are, to be of the nature of non-disturbance and non-anger, because they are attained by abandoning anger. The intrinsic nature of the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment is that wherever they necessarily arise, liberation necessarily arises. The characteristic of the door to liberation, emptiness, is that it is of the nature of extreme solitude because it is not defiled by the impurity of the conceptual thought that focuses on true clinging. The characteristic of the door to liberation, signlessness, is that it has the characteristic of peace through not focusing on signs. The characteristic of the third door to liberation, wishlessness, is that when one truly observes phenomena that are of the nature of suffering as suffering, and when one observes the suchness of phenomena with the wisdom that realizes reality, one does not wish for the perfection of existence, and also because one does not wish for the state beyond the world through the door of grasping at truth, it is of the nature of freedom from suffering and delusion. The characteristic of the eight liberations is that they liberate from the obscurations of meditative absorption. The eight liberations are: the two liberations of looking at external forms without destroying the perception of form internally, and destroying that perception internally and looking at external forms, are the antidote to the obscurations that hinder emanation. In the commentary, many examples of the second occurrence of "perceiving form internally" are incorrect. The impure liberation, which has the characteristic of the fourth dhyana, is the third, which is the antidote to all disturbing emotions, being pleased with the emanation of beautiful forms and not being pleased with the emanation of unattractive forms. In the path of dwelling in bliss in the present life, on the path of dwelling in harmony with liberation among the two paths, there are the liberations of the four formless absorptions, and on the path of dwelling in peace, there is one liberation of the absorption of cessation of perception and feeling. The third is: the ten powers that will be explained should be understood as having an extremely definitive nature or characteristic, because the objects are extremely definitive, they are called powers because they have the characteristic of being unimpeded in entering objects. All that is to be known.
