That is, because when this worldly convention is examined in seven ways of seeking the meaning of what is imputed, as previously stated, existence is not found, and because it exists by reputation without being examined. When a yogi examines the self and the chariot in the same way as before, with the same order as previously stated, only with great speed will he be able to fathom the depths of that reality. How is that? If a chariot were established by its own nature, it would necessarily have to be found in one of the seven when searching in seven ways. However, the yogi does not find the existence of this chariot. At that time, how can that which is not found when searching in seven ways be said to exist by its own nature? It is not. Therefore, the so-called chariot being established by its own nature is merely a conjecture made by those whose eye of wisdom has been impaired by the darkness of ignorance. It is not the case that it exists by its own nature, and in this way, certainty will arise in the yogi, and in that way, the yogi will easily enter into that reality as well. The sound of Om also summarizes that the establishment of convention will not be destroyed either. Therefore, in this context of the Madhyamikas, the way in which the chariot is established should be accepted as it is established without examination. The wise of the Madhyamika school should think that this aspect previously stated is faultless and beneficial, and should definitely promise to accept it, so it is said. One should promise to accept this faultless system as one's own system. One should not harm or disrespect it by saying, "This has no system." Second: Here it is said, when a yogi examines as before, it depends on not seeing the chariot, but if only a collection of its parts is seen, then it exists by its own nature. Searching for threads in the ashes of a burnt cloth, you are something to be laughed at. If the chariot itself does not exist by its own nature, then the whole that possesses parts does not exist by its own nature, and therefore, its parts also do not exist by their own nature. If the chariot is destroyed separately, is it not the case that the collection of its wheels and so on is seen? Therefore, why do you say that without the whole that possesses parts, the parts also do not exist?
