There is no fault in arguing this. For example, the roughness and softness of the water of a lotus and its petals are not seen to be caused by something. Nor are the various colors and shapes of its petals, stamens, and center seen to be caused by something. Similarly, various things such as jackfruit and apples are also like that. Likewise, just as with external entities, even with internal self-natured beings such as peacocks, partridges, and wild ducks, it is not seen that by grasping them through some effort, colors and shapes, etc., are arranged. Therefore, it is said that the arising of things is only from their own nature. This should be argued: If things are considered to arise only without a cause, then all things, i.e., everything, would arise from other than their own cause, because all things are the same in being without a cause. Furthermore, the ripening of things such as mangoes depends on the season, and sometimes it appears, then they would also always exist, because they do not depend on the season. Similarly, crows would also have the color of peacocks, and peacocks would also have parrot feathers in the womb, because they do not depend on a cause. Saying this contradicts reason, and saying it contradicts what is seen. In order to produce fruits such as rice, worldly people collect and store seeds, etc., through hundreds of thousands of hardships, and if this does not change, then because there is an agent, arising is not from self-nature. Another fault is that if beings arise without a cause, i.e., without a cause, then these beings would become as ungraspable as the smell and color of a udumbara flower in the sky. Therefore, since it is also the holder of an extremely bright world, know that just as the mind of one's own blue form arises from blue, all worlds arise from their own cause. The Lokayata (materialists) say that it is the four elements, namely earth, water, fire, and wind, which are the cause of all kinds of beings. From the distinction of their complete maturation

Just as various things like lotuses and Nepali apples, and peacocks and wild ducks, are seen as they are, not only is it reasonable, but also the mind that completely cuts off the suchness of things arises from that very thing. Just as the various differences that occur in alcohol, due to the characteristic of complete transformation, cause intoxication and fainting in beings, in the same way, from the complete ripening of the particularities of the great elements such as stickiness, minds arise, and they also transform until they completely cut off all things. Therefore, external and internal things arise only from the cause of this world. The ripening of actions done in another place occurs here, or the ripening of actions done here occurs in another world. It is thought that there is no other world. Beautiful woman, enjoy and eat well! The supreme body, once gone, will not belong to you again. This body is merely an aggregation. Alas, what has passed will not return. This is said wanting to approach a girl and wanting her to realize that there is no afterlife. Black dye: The fear of the past will not arise. This is how it is translated. To this it should be said: What is the reason for your certainty that there is no afterlife? If you think it is because the afterlife is not seen directly now, then is not seeing the afterlife directly a direct perception or not a direct perception? If you say it is a direct perception, if you consider the direct perception to be false, then the non-existent will not contradict the direct perception. Therefore, the non-existent will also become a thing for you, because the false seeing of the afterlife is a direct measure of the real direct perception, so it is like a thing. If that is the case, then there is nothing that is non-existent, so things will also be non-existent, because there is no companion. If those two do not exist, then the four elements do not exist, and the assertion that there is no afterlife will also fail.
