Also, because anything becomes a cause for being examined. Having said that, if other-nature exists, then it makes sense. If other-nature does not exist even a little bit, then what will become the cause of the illusion of conventional terms, established as the basic substance? There will be nothing at all. Therefore, believing that other-nature is established in the ultimate sense shows that one has fallen away from the ultimate sense. Therefore, for this Mind-Only school, the cause of worldly terms does not exist by its own nature. Alas, how sad! According to other Mind-Only schools, because there is no ability of wisdom to distinguish the ultimate meaning, through the gate of attachment to clinging to the mere substance of other-nature as true, without abandoning the vase of other-nature, pouring in unreasonable, water-like examinations, because of the bad way of one's own intelligence, that is, because of reason, for the norms that are praised in the world, let them be established from the world itself, exist, disappear, do! And so on, and similarly, all those feelings and so on that arise from external forms and external objects will be destroyed, that is, they will be destroyed. Therefore, for this Mind-Only school, only decline will exist, but the exalted state, that is, the excellent state, will not be attained. If external objects are blocked, then disappearance and so on will also disappear because they do not exist, because those are related to external objects. This shows that one has fallen away from the conventional truth. Third, therefore, in this way, the teacher is inverted, that is, explaining the provisional meaning as the definitive meaning. Not entering the intention of the Buddha, but only entering the path of the school fabricated by one's own conceptualizations. For the path pioneered by the teacher, the noble Nagarjuna, for those who have become outsiders, there is no main method of attaining peaceful nirvana. Why? Like this, those who have become outsiders will certainly fall away from the conventional truth and the ultimate truth. Because of falling away from the two truths, liberation is not possible until those two truths are abandoned. Again, why is it that liberation cannot be achieved by falling away from the two truths? Because the non-inverted norms of conventional truth are the method of realizing the ultimate truth as it is.

become, and realizing the ultimate truth as it is arises from the previously explained means. Those who cannot distinguish the difference between these two truths enter the wrong path due to inverted perceptions. This shows that unless a flawless conventional establishment arises, the ultimate truth cannot be realized as it is. Therefore, one should follow only the tradition established by Nāgārjuna. This very principle is stated in the Samādhi that definitively reveals Suchness through Torma Accomplishment: The Knower of the World, without listening to others, revealed these two truths by himself. Whatever is conventional is also ultimate; there is no third truth. This shows that the Buddha independently revealed the two truths and determined that all objects of knowledge are included in the two truths. Then, for what reason do beings develop faith in the Sugata, for the sake of happiness? The Victorious One, for the sake of beings, revealed the conventional truth for the benefit of the world. This shows the necessity of revealing the conventional truth. The six realms of beings that are taught, namely the hell beings, animals, hungry ghosts, as well as the asuras, humans, and gods, the Lion of Men established the conventional truth. Low castes as well as high castes, the homes of the rich and the homes of the poor, the assembly of slaves and the assembly of servants, the assembly of women and men, hermaphrodites, whatever differences there may be among beings, the incomparable you revealed to the world, the wise understand the conventional truth, the Knower of the World revealed these to people. This tells how the conventional truth is revealed. Beings who delight in this, in samsara, will enter the eight worldly dharmas, namely gain and loss, pleasant and unpleasant, praise and blame, happiness and suffering. If gain is obtained, attachment arises to it; if it is not obtained, one becomes agitated by it. By this means, one can understand other unrevealed dharmas. These eight diseases constantly harm it. This shows that if one clings to this conventional as true and rejoices, one will enter the eight worldly dharmas and be tormented by them, thus wandering in samsara, and the eight dharmas of
