This is because it is determined by the determiner, and because the appearance of the object to be measured arises in the measure, it is established that the measure of the measurer has its own nature. The term "only" refers to the Mind-Only school and the Sutra school's assertion that the measure follows the appearance of the object to be measured, and thus the object to be measured is established. Then, the way the measure is established is to prevent the establishment of the measure itself from the previous one, by the self-awareness that experiences the grasping aspect that is free from dualistic appearance. It means that it is established only by the establishment of the object to be measured. This is what the Noble One said: If the measure is established from itself, without relying on the objects to be measured, your measure is established here, then it will be perfectly established without relying on others. This is the intention, it is not enough for the establishment of the measure to be established only by the object to be measured, if the measure is established from itself as others assert, then the measure will be established without relying on the object to be measured. If you think so, then things will be perfectly established without relying on other causes and conditions. By refuting this, it is implied that the measure is established only by the establishment of the object to be measured. In this way, the apprehension of blue is not established by self-awareness as in other schools, but by the direct perception of the senses, because its existence is realized by the establishment of the object to be measured by the apprehension of blue. Therefore, all measures are established by the establishment of their own objects to be measured. Second, then according to this school, images and sounds are also established as the sources of color and sound as mentioned earlier, and in the Clear Words, it is also said: The appearance of two moons and so on is not a direct perception for the consciousness that is not blurred, but for those who are blurred, it is only a direct perception. This school, when explaining that the objects such as color and sound are the real names of direct perception, and the objects that hold them are the imputed names, considers the appearance of two moons and so on to be dependent on the self-satisfaction of worldly people, although there is a difference between whether the object to be measured is a direct perception or not, in their own school, they also consider the appearance of two moons and so on to be the appearance of the object to be measured as a direct perception. Therefore, whether the sense consciousness is a delusion or not, depending on the self-satisfaction of worldly people,

It is established. However, if self-awareness is not accepted, then the appearance of mind-consciousness and the delusion towards the object of attachment in the base period will not be established, because for them, since the object-possessor is not established by measuring with its own measurable, it is not established. If you say that, then it should be explained that this system does not accept consciousnesses that are different in entity from the six aggregates of consciousness. Therefore, there are only two valid cognitions: the valid cognition that actually relies on the sense faculty with form, and the valid cognition that relies only on the mental faculty. As for valid cognition, the Clear Words states that the four valid cognitions, namely, direct perception, inference, scriptural valid cognition, and approximate measurement or measurement by example, are based on debate, refutation, and skillful explanation. The latter two valid cognitions are included in inference, and the commentary on the Four Hundred also states, "It is not the case that all things are to be understood by knowing them directly; there are also things to be understood by inferring them." This has been said. As for direct perception, the self-awareness direct perception, which is explained as four by other systems, is refuted, and mental direct perception is also not accepted as explained in the valid cognition texts. Because in the commentary on the Four Hundred, the meaning of what is said in the Abhidharma that each of the five objects, form, etc., is to be known by the sense faculties and mind consciousness, is explained as follows: Two consciousnesses do not cognize one object; one consciousness is what directly ascertains the aspect of the object, that is, what arises first. The second is not a consciousness that directly ascertains, but when it arises thinking in that way by the power of the sense consciousness, it is approximated that it also cognizes that object. Thus, it is said that the first sense consciousness directly cognizes the object of form, etc., but the mind consciousness cognizes by the power of the sense consciousness, and does not directly cognize like the sense consciousness, and it is also said to be recollection. Also, in the commentary on the Four Hundred, it says, "It is also not the aspect of experiencing like feeling, etc., nor is it to be completely determined through the sense gates like form and sound, etc." Thus, for manifest measurement, two are stated: like the sense consciousness determining form, etc., and like feeling, pleasure, pain, etc., completely determining internally through experience. The latter of those two must be accepted from the base period, and also because more than the four direct perceptions are not stated here, and yoga.
