Furthermore, it is said, "If one fully conceives that there will be rebirth," then existence and rebirth are contradictory, while existence and birth are not contradictory. Similarly, existence and rebirth with contact are contradictory, while existence and birth with contact are not contradictory. The meaning of the second argument is that the Madhyamaka who asserts no self-nature, when throwing the two previously mentioned faults at the Samkhya who asserts self-nature, does not want to admit the meaning of refuting himself. Even without that, it is also not making him without autonomy. Therefore, he does not admit the refutation from those two faults. The meaning of the third argument is that although the meaning of refuting the faults of the two faults, that is, the mark of rebirth with meaning and with contact, does not establish the non-origination of the self (ātman, Devanagari: आत्मन्, IAST: ātman, literal meaning: self, soul), it is not unnecessary. Because it establishes the meaningless and without contact origination that the Samkhya does not want, therefore, because it is only establishing the distinction of the origination from the self (ātman, Devanagari: आत्मन्, IAST: ātman, literal meaning: self, soul) that the Samkhya promised, it is necessary. For the two extreme faults, because one himself admits the meaning of refuting the faults, therefore, for the meaning of refuting the faults, one should know the two situations of admitting and not admitting by oneself. The second part has two: the answer to refute the fault, and the refutation of that answer. The first part is: What is said here is that both cause and effect also have otherness established by their own characteristics, and it is not that everything comes from everything, because it is seen that cause and effect are determined separately. This is also because whatever thing can act well on whatever thing, that itself is definitely said to be the result of that, so the result is definite. The saying "therefore" is inconsistent with the explanation. Whatever cause can produce that result, that, although it is otherness established by its own nature, is also the cause, so the cause is definite. Therefore, only the particular otherness is considered as cause and effect, and merely the general otherness is not considered as cause and effect. Furthermore, the sprout of rice comes from the seed of rice that belongs to the same lineage as itself, not from the seed of barley etc. that is not of the same lineage. Even if they are of the same lineage, it cannot produce, because the later moment does not produce the earlier moment, so, because the earlier moment of the same lineage produces the later moment, so it is produced from that. The sprout of rice is not barley.
