Because that is merely the lineage of those who do not believe in the results of karma. Anyone from any of the four schools knows that such a view is a nihilistic view, therefore, no one would generate such a view in their own continuum. Therefore, the basis of negation does not exist in the nature of what is negated, and the basis is also negated as emptiness, just like emptiness. Emptiness because phenomena are established by their own characteristics means emptiness by their own nature. The reason why other emptinesses are not emptiness by their own nature is that as long as the previous emptiness is established by valid cognition and its function has not disappeared, it is impossible for schools to generate clinging to the basis, thinking that it is real or has a real meaning. Even if the meaning of the later emptiness is established by valid cognition and its function has not disappeared, it is not contradictory for schools to cling to it as real or having a real meaning. The second point is that what is said here is that there is no arising in the ultimate, so it depends on the negation of arising from self and other. However, the nature of those things such as form and feeling that are apprehended by the two valid cognitions will undoubtedly arise from other. If one does not think so, why speak of two truths? Then it would become only one truth. Therefore, they say that there is arising from other. Those who refute in this way seem to be some Svatantrika Madhyamikas who think that there is no arising in the ultimate, but admit arising from other in the conventional. If arising from other by its own nature is not admitted in the conventional, then it would become only one truth, meaning that if arising by its own nature does not exist in the conventional, then true conventional would not exist. In that case, conventional truth would not be possible, therefore it would become only one ultimate truth. As an answer to that, this is indeed true, but in the ultimate there are not two truths, because (in the sutra) it says: 'Monks, this ultimate truth is only one, that is, the non-deceptive nature, nirvana. All conditioned phenomena are false, having a deceptive nature.' Therefore it is said. The meaning of those is that the meaning of the truth that one admits oneself is non-deceptive, therefore it will become only the non-deceptive truth, so here it says 'this is indeed true.' 'In the ultimate' means that in the face of those who realize reality, there are not two truths, conventional and ultimate, because in that face, there is only the single ultimate truth.

It is said that it is "because it has been said." The supreme truth is the ultimate truth. Because it is said that in the face of that wisdom, there is no conventional truth, it is known that it is a deceptive dharma. In summary, if all dharmas are established by their own characteristics, then conditioned phenomena will not become false and deceptive dharmas. Because there is no conventional truth, it will become without two truths. On the side where there is no establishment by one's own characteristics, both conventional and ultimate truths exist, which is what is meant. If it is thought that the previous scripture said that only nirvana is true, and other conditioned phenomena are false, even if conditioned phenomena are not established by their own characteristics, is not the ultimate truth of nirvana established by its own characteristics? Regarding that truth, the sutra itself says that it is a "non-deceptive dharma," which is explained as the meaning of non-deception, not a truth established by its own nature. Because it is said that "all conditioned phenomena are false and deceptive dharmas," it is also known that the previous truth is the meaning of non-deception. In the commentary on the Sixty Stanza Reasoning, it is also said that just as conditioned phenomena appear as inverted and deceive children, nirvana appears in an ultimate way and does not deceive, therefore nirvana is the truth, and others are not the truth. Therefore, dividing truth and non-truth into two is undoubtedly to be regarded as the meaning of deception and non-deception. In the commentary on the Sixty Stanza Reasoning, it is said that nirvana is true in the conventional sense, which means that nirvana exists in the ultimate truth and is established on the level of the conventional truth, not that it is considered true in name. In this way, because the conventional truth is the method of entering the ultimate truth, just as one speaks according to worldly customs without examining oneself and others, the Madhyamikas also acknowledge it. Just like this, when analyzing objects such as form and feeling, are they produced from oneself? Or are they produced from others? When analyzing in this way, from the unproduced and unceasing ultimate truth that does not have the nature of reality itself, one cannot find a place where phenomena such as birth that belong to this shore, that is, belong to others, exist. Therefore, in the truth of worldly conventions, there is the saying of oneself and others.
