The aspects of ultimate truth and conventional truth are manifest, that is, they are fully manifest, that is, without remainder. For the sake of attaining enlightenment, all the movements of conceptual thoughts of mind and mental factors are completely ceased. Therefore, there is no alternation of existence and non-existence of the appearance of conceptualization in meditative equipoise and subsequent attainment. The word "cease" indicates that for other noble ones, the return to meditative equipoise sometimes shows an interval, therefore, there is alternation of meditative equipoise and subsequent attainment. Therefore, because of the practice of ignorance of the obscuration of knowledge, this is not the reason for the existence of appearance, but it is the proof that the existence and non-existence of appearance alternate in meditative equipoise and subsequent attainment. The movement of mind and mental factors is considered to be conceptual thought, as it is said in the Clear Words: "Conceptual thought is the movement of mind, because it is separated from it, that suchness is without conceptual thought." As it is said in the sutra: "What is the ultimate truth? If there is no movement of mind, what need is there to mention letters?" The third is, for ordinary beings, what is the ultimate truth is merely the conventional truth of those noble ones who have objects of experience with appearance, and the emptiness of its nature is the ultimate truth of those noble ones. The meaning of the former statement is that the pot and so on, which ordinary beings grasp as ultimately established, are merely the conventional truth of the three noble ones mentioned earlier who arise from meditative equipoise in subsequent attainment with appearance. Therefore, for them, only the truly existent is refuted, and it is not refuted that the conventional truth is true, and it is not shown that the object of attachment of ordinary beings who grasp the pot and so on as ultimately established is transformed into the conventional truth for the noble ones, because that is impossible. The meaning of the latter statement is that because the nature of dependent arising, the conventional nature of reality, is shown to be the ultimate truth of the noble ones, the same basis of the pot and so on is conventional truth in relation to ordinary beings, and ultimate truth in relation to the noble ones. To speak in this way, reversing the scriptures, is a statement of not understanding that in whatever mind conventional truth is established, in that mind the truly existent must be refuted. The ultimate truth of the Buddhas is nature itself, and because of its infallibility, it is the ultimate truth.
