If any object is found, it is said that it will be seized by the serpent of affliction. And after that, it is said, "For a mind with a place, why wouldn't great poisonous afflictions arise?" Therefore, this is the pure view of the noble ones. The connection of the latter two lines is: For those who contemplate the nature of forms, etc., but want to abandon afflictions, it is impossible to abandon afflictions. It is said to show this reason. The outer commentary also says: If one focuses on things, then various afflictions such as desire will definitely arise and cannot be avoided. How does it arise? If the thing is pleasing, then at that time it is difficult to avoid attachment to it. If it is displeasing, then at that time it is difficult to avoid anger and dissatisfaction with it. It is said. The commentary also says that even for a situation that is neither pleasing nor displeasing, ignorance will arise. When the mind continuously holds that the object is established by its own nature, either desire arises, or hatred arises, and even if it is not these two, afflictions such as delusion will arise. The Bodhisattvacaryāvatāra also says: A mind with an object will abide somewhere. A mind separated from emptiness will arise again after ceasing, like the samadhi of non-perception. It is said that for this view, these two teachers and Buddhapālita have no difference in explaining the view of the noble ones. The point of this is that the statement that liberation can be attained merely by relying on the sixteen impermanences, etc., is intentional. And the definitions of afflictions established based on these paths are also incomplete. Relying on these, one can also understand pride, etc. For uncommon ignorance, satkayadristi, and antagrahadristi, one should also understand both innate and imputed, because I was afraid of too many words, so I did not write it. Similarly, for the conceptual thought of holding all dharmas as truly existent, it is divided into the great, medium, and small nine categories to be abandoned by cultivation, as well as the nine paths of cultivation and combination for the antidote, and the conceptual thought of holding the apprehended and the apprehender as different entities, it is also divided into the great, medium, and small nine categories to be abandoned by cultivation, and the path of cultivation.

Just as it is said to combine "Gu" and "Bang" into in-laws. For the time being, for some sentient beings who cannot fully understand both the coarse and subtle selflessness of phenomena, it should be known that this is said for the sake of expedient meaning. Secondly, these things deceive children because they appear to exist even though they have no self-nature. For the three types of individuals mentioned above, the dependent arising of false things themselves becomes merely conventional truth, not ultimate truth. This is because only non-afflictive ignorance with the characteristic of the obscuration of knowledge is universally active. Therefore, it appears to the noble ones who abide in the post-meditation state, who have the object of appearance contaminated by ignorance and its imprints. But it does not appear to the noble ones who abide in equanimity, who possess the object of non-appearance. So, what does this school consider to be the obscuration of knowledge? The Commentary on Entering the Middle Way says: "For this, the imprints of ignorance are the obstacles to cutting off the knowable, and having the imprints of desire, etc., is also the cause of such actions of body and speech. The imprints of ignorance and desire, etc., will only cease in the omniscient one and the Buddha, but not in others." As it is said, the actions of body and speech, such as the Arhat jumping like a monkey, and saying "blind man" to others, etc., even if these bad actions of body and speech are pointed out, they cannot be corrected. Moreover, the word "also" indicates that the imprints of desire, etc., are also obstacles to cutting off the knowable. Therefore, the imprints of afflictions are the obscuration of knowledge, and all the confused parts of the dualistic appearance, which is its result, are also included therein. Among the one where the seeds of afflictions are established as imprints, and the imprints of non-affliction seeds, it is the latter that is established as the obscuration of knowledge. Even if all the seeds of afflictions are exhausted, the belief in reality will not arise, but because of being contaminated by the imprints, it will generate wisdom that is confused about the object of appearance. The noble ones who have not become Buddhas, because they have not abandoned the ignorance of the obscuration of knowledge, therefore have the conceptual thought with appearance in the post-meditation state, and the alternating alternation of becoming non-appearance in equanimity. But the Buddhas have all phenomena
