Who wants it? Clear senses, i.e., senses not deluded by temporary causes of delusion, and the consciousness that relies on them; and flawed senses, i.e., the two objects deluded by temporary causes of delusion. Among them, the consciousness deluded by those with flawed senses is considered a false consciousness in relation to the clear senses, i.e., the consciousness not deluded by temporary causes of delusion. The former is considered to apprehend objects without inversion. However, these two distinctions are also relative to the worldly consciousness that is not of the Madhyamaka school. Just as objects are divided into inverted and non-inverted, it is also shown that objects are real. That is, whatever is apprehended by the consciousness of the six senses without the harm of temporary causes of delusion, and is understood by the world, that is the world itself, is true and correct. But relative to the noble ones, those objects are not considered true and correct. The terms "noble ones" and "Madhyamaka school" have the same meaning here. The remainder, i.e., the images and so on that appear as objects when the senses are harmed, are considered false relative to the world itself. The word "itself" is used to show that to consider those consciousnesses as mistaken, the conventional valid cognition itself is sufficient, and there is no need to rely on reasoning. Among them, the internal causes of harm to the senses are cataracts, jaundice, and so on, and eating datura and so on. Datura is thorn apple, if you eat its fruit, everything will appear as gold. The "etc." includes epidemics and so on. The external causes of harm to the senses are mirrors, caves, and so on, from the expression of sound, and the sunlight of summer near the land of sand dwellers, and so on. Although these are not internal causes of harm to the senses, they will gradually become causes for apprehending images, rock fragments, and mirages as water, and so on. Similarly, spells and medicines and so on used by magicians and so on should also be understood. The harm to the sense of mind includes the above-mentioned spells and medicines and so on, as well as wrong tenets, seemingly valid reasoning, and the harm of sleep and so on. Sleep is the six

Among them, it is said that the harm of mind is mentioned, and that this teacher believes that there is root consciousness in dreams, which is a great heresy. In this way, the harm defiled by the ignorance of the two kinds of self-grasping that have existed since beginningless time is not regarded as the cause of harm here, but rather the causes of confusion that harm the immediate root as mentioned before are taken. The conventional truths taken by the six consciousnesses without such harm, and the truths opposite to them, are established as correct and incorrect, depending only on the consciousness of ordinary people, because those things exist as they appear, and the consciousness of ordinary people has no harm or harm. For the noble ones, there is no distinction between right and wrong, just as images and the like do not exist as they appear. For those with ignorance, blue and the like appear to be established by their own nature, but they also do not exist as they appear. Therefore, for these two kinds of consciousness, there is no difference between error and non-error. Then, because there is immediate harm to the colored root, the object appears as wrong, and because the consciousness of the mind has harm such as sleep, people appear in dreams, and they are attached to people, and when they wake up, they are attached to the appearance of illusory horses and elephants as horses and elephants, and the appearance of mirages as water is attached to water, etc., these are all inverted, and even the self-righteous wisdom of ordinary people can understand. However, because the mind has the harm of bad sects, the self-righteous wisdom of ordinary people cannot understand the dharmas that are wrongly grasped as inverted, so how can it be established as wrong from the world itself? Here, the harm of distinguishing between the presence and absence of harm is not directed at the harm of innate inverted grasping. What is established by bad sects is only the self, etc., which is established as wrong by the sects changing the mind. Even if the self-righteous wisdom of ordinary people cannot understand these as inverted, if the mundane valid cognition that does not clearly tend to suchness understands it as wrong, then it is the consciousness of ordinary people that understands it as wrong. For example, the dharmas grasped by the two kinds of innate self-grasping are what is called grasped by the root without harm, ordinary people
