Moreover, through relying on that reasoning, it can also be prevented. Because for unconditioned space, it must also be admitted that it pervades some form. Moreover, for it, it must also be admitted that there is a part that pervades the east and a part that pervades other directions. Similarly, for the nature of phenomena, there are also many parts that pervade, and many different parts that are cognized by different earlier and later minds. Other unconditioned phenomena are also similar to this. Therefore, the many parts and the possessor of many parts, the essence cannot be different, so the essence is the same. Moreover, that is suitable for imputation, but not suitable for true establishment. Therefore, as before, by refuting, all knowable things are established as without truth. Doing so is the view of Shantarakshita and his sons. Therefore, only considering parts and possessors of parts as real things is the fault of small intelligence. For those whose minds have not been changed by tenets, the conventional falsehood is different in meaning from the falsehood accepted by the Madhyamikas, so even if established through the mind, for them it is as it is said. But in our own system, we do not accept that it is established through the mind to that extent. In this way, even though there is no way of abiding that does not rely on the power of appearance to the mind, there is something that is established by the power of it, which is not merely a designation of name, and this does not contradict this system. Therefore, the object of negation of the two Madhyamikas will be very different in the face of the mind. For such a person, if one can well guide the recognition of truth and the clinging to truth in this system, and the summary of the reasoning that prevents it, and then show the system of the Prasangikas below it, one can see that the view is well distinguished, so it is explained here. Second, if in this system, one knows the way of establishing that phenomena are merely established by the power of conceptual thought, then one can easily know the clinging to truth that clings in the opposite way. Therefore, there are two here: the way in which phenomena are established by the power of conceptual thought, and the showing of the clinging to truth that clings in the opposite way. First, in the Questions of Nearer, it is said: "Various pleasing flowers are blooming, the supreme golden palace is burning, pleasing to the mind. There is no maker here or there, those are established by the power of conceptual thought. The world is distinguished by the power of conceptual thought." Thus it is said that phenomena are established by the power of conceptual thought. It is also said that many other phenomena are merely imputed by conceptual thought, and established by the power of conceptual thought. In the Sixty Stanzas of Reasoning, it is also said: "The world is conditioned by ignorance,"

Nadu. Because the Perfectly Complete Buddha has spoken, therefore, why shouldn't this world be mere conceptualization? The meaning of this statement is explained in the commentary as: all phenomena in the world are not established by their own nature, but are merely imputed by conceptualization. The Śataśāstra also states: Without conceptualization, there is no attachment, etc. If it exists or does not exist, it is not real. Who with intelligence would grasp at true meaning and conceptualization? It is said, and its commentary also states: Only with conceptualization is there existence, and without conceptualization there is no existence. These are undoubtedly like a snake imputed on a coiled rope, and are definitely not established by their own nature. It is said that true meaning is established by its own nature, and conceptualization arises in dependence on it. The commentary states that attachment and so on are like a snake imputed on a rope, which is just an example. It explains that all other phenomena are also imputed by conceptualization, just like a snake imputed on a rope. For example, the mottled color and coiled shape are similar to a snake, and when the object is not clearly visible, one thinks that the rope is a snake. At that time, there is not even a little bit of the rope's collection and parts that can be used as the basis for the snake. Therefore, that snake is merely imputed by conceptualization. Similarly, when the thought of "I" arises in dependence on the aggregates, there is not even a little bit on the aggregates, whether it is the collection of past and future continuity, or the collection of the same time, or its parts, that can be used as the basis for it. This will be explained in detail below. Therefore, and from the parts and the whole of the aggregates, there is not even a little bit that can be taken as the basis for "I" that is different in nature from them. Therefore, that "I" is merely imputed by conceptualization in dependence on the aggregates, and is not established by its own nature. This is also stated in the Ratnāvalī: A person is not earth, not water, not fire, not wind, not space, not consciousness, nor all of them. What person is there other than these? It is said. Here, a person is a pudgala, a sentient being, "I", and ātman. From "not earth" to "not consciousness", it negates that the parts of the six elements of a sentient being can be established as a pudgala. "Not all of them" negates that the collection of elements can be established as a pudgala. The last sentence negates that something other than the nature of the elements can be established as a pudgala. Even so, it is not that one does not accept pudgala. Ālaya-vijñāna and other pudgalas
