Moreover, it arises from the power of the complete maturation of the habitual tendencies of beginningless delusion. It also causes all sentient beings to see as if the self-nature of things is truly near. Therefore, due to the power of their thoughts, the nature of all false things is said to exist only conventionally. Thus it is said. The part before "is" refers to the meaning of mistaking things that are without self-nature in the ultimate sense as existing in the ultimate sense. The part from "conventional" to "return" refers to the meaning of true conventionality, that is, using conventionality as a veil to obscure reality. Because it arises from the clinging to reality, therefore, seeing as if truly existing by the clinging to reality is conceptual thought, not sensory consciousness. Because in the commentary on the Two Truths, it is said that the truth to be refuted does not appear to sensory consciousness, the reason is the same here. The part from "that" to "arising" shows that the clinging to reality is innate. Therefore, it is said "for all sentient beings." The thoughts of those sentient beings are not only conceptual thoughts, but also include non-conceptual consciousness. Due to the power of these two, the false things that are established as existing, but do not exist in the ultimate sense, exist only conventionally, which is the meaning of "all things arise conventionally." But this is not the meaning of the conventional existence of clinging to reality. If it is done in this way, then what appears to the mind, or is not established by the power of the mind, but is the state of existence of things, that is truth, ultimate truth, truly existing, and clinging to it is innate clinging to reality. If so, then from the appearance, "there is no birth in the ultimate sense," this would become saying that these are not established by correct consciousness. The meaning of what is said in this way is, how can existence and birth in the ultimate sense be said to be established as birth and existence by the intellect that enters into reality? Indeed, for the object to be refuted, adding the distinction of the ultimate sense, it is necessary to understand two kinds of ultimate sense. Taking the intellect of hearing, thinking, and meditation as the ultimate sense, thereby, as previously said, there are those that are not established, and those that are not established by the power of the mind, but are the state of existence of things, establishing the two kinds of existence in the ultimate sense, the first kind of ultimate sense, and what is established in its presence also exists, the latter ultimate sense...

It is impossible for me to be both there and not there. Therefore, the later ultimately existent is pervaded by the former ultimately existent. However, the apprehension of the former existent is not an innate clinging to truth, and for that clinging to truth, the apprehension of the latter existent is necessary. If this is not distinguished, there will be an increase in the measure of objects to be refuted that can be examined by reason, and clinging to things that can be examined, and based on that, the fundamental ultimate truth will not be established, and many errors will occur in thinking that it is truly established. If this is well understood, one can understand the key points that it is not contradictory to say that it is without nature and ultimately without, and also to think that the nature of phenomena exists and to say that it is nature and ultimately existent. Secondly, in order to understand how existence is established and not established by the power of the mind, it is praised to understand from the example of illusion, so explain it. When a magician transforms pebbles and wood into horses and cows, for the magician and the audience whose eyes are deceived, and the three whose eyes are not deceived, for the first, there is only the appearance of horses and cows, but there is no attachment to it. For the second, there is both the appearance and the attachment to it. For the third, there is neither the appearance nor the attachment of horses and cows. When the basis of transformation appears as horses and cows, for example, when mistaking a rope for a snake, in the face of that knowledge, the rope is a snake, but in general it is not a snake, just like that. Knowledge only appears as horses and cows in the face of delusion, but in general, it cannot be said that the basis of transformation does not appear as horses and cows. Even if it is not combined in that way, it must be admitted that the basis of transformation appears as horses and cows, because if it is not like this now, it will be impossible to have a delusion about appearance. Therefore, the ability to establish the basis of transformation as appearing as horses and cows, like a magician, is established by the power of the mind being deluded and appearing in that way. It is not that it is not like that, but it is established by the way the basis of transformation itself exists. For the audience, the appearance of horses and cows does not appear to be established by the power of the inner mind, but they think that in the place where it appears, there is an object with the characteristics of horses and cows occupying the position. This is the way to understand the clinging to what is established and not established by the mind from the example. When that place of appearance appears, there are two situations, that is, existing according to the way of appearance and not existing according to the way of appearance. If you can understand this well, you can
