It should be made into one, and the last two should also be made into one. The recognition of the ten equalities seems inconsistent with the commentary on the Ten Bhumi Sutra and the Yogacarabhumi-sastra. Because the two are inconsistent with this school in explaining emptiness, it is explained differently here. Among them, the first is that all phenomena appear as different characteristics, but in the samadhi of the noble ones, there is no meaning, and all dharmas are the same. The second is that all dharmas are not established by their own nature, but are equal. These two are general indications. The other eight are to show the meaning of the general indication by dividing it into special ways. Non-arising refers to the future, and non-born refers to being controlled by other times. That is to say, all dharmas are equal or the same, and it should be known for others as well. Solitude means emptiness of arising and having arisen. This is also the solitude that is specially distinguished by its own nature in the case of the second equality. Like that, it is not done immediately by scriptural and logical proofs, but is pure from the beginning, and abiding in that way is the sixth. The seventh, the absence of dualistic proliferation, is combined with the first. For those who cannot be proliferated by sound and conceptualization, the difference in the case of the second is combined. The eighth also combines the difference in that way. The ninth is that there are many names of examples to ascertain the meaning of what was said earlier. The tenth is that for any dharma, whether it is a thing or not a thing, it is the same without being established by its own nature. Sharpness means quick wisdom. Conformity means conforming to the forbearance of non-arising dharma of the eighth bhumi. For this conforming forbearance, many differences appear according to the power of the situation. Although there are many scriptures that can show the suchness of all dharmas, here is the way the wisdom of the sixth bhumi explains the realization of suchness, so the scripture that the sixth bhumi enters with the ten equalities is quoted. Second, for the determination of all dharmas as unreal, if one does not understand well in what way it is established as real and in what way it is clung to as real, then the view of suchness will surely be mistaken, as it is said in the Bodhicaryavatara: Without touching the object of investigation, one will not grasp its non-existence. It means that for the object of investigation, that is, the general characteristic to be refuted, it does not appear well in the mind.

Now, because it is said that one cannot properly grasp the object to be refuted, if the true establishment of what does not exist, and the aspect of the object to be refuted that is empty of what, do not appear in the mind as they are, then it is impossible to properly ascertain the nature of selflessness and emptiness. Moreover, it is not enough for a proponent of tenets to immediately recognize the truly established imputed and the grasping at truth. It is extremely important to properly recognize the innate grasping at truth that has been present since beginningless time, whether or not it has been transformed by tenets, and the true establishment grasped by it. Because if one does not recognize this, even if one refutes the object to be refuted with reasoning, it will not harm the grasping at truth that has been present since beginningless time, and therefore one will lose the point. Moreover, one must first recognize the grasping at truth in one's own mind, and then one must know the way to refute its object directly and indirectly. Merely looking outward for refutation and establishment is of very little use. If one can understand the ways of recognizing the two schools of Madhyamaka Svatantrika and Madhyamaka Prasangika, one will be able to distinguish their differences well. To explain this, there are two parts: the way of recognizing the grasping at truth in the Madhyamaka Svatantrika school and the way of recognizing the grasping at truth in the Madhyamaka Prasangika school. The first part has three points: recognizing true establishment and grasping at truth, showing the analogy of truth and falsehood, illusion, in relation to the worldly, and applying the analogy to the meaning and explaining it. The first point is: a clear recognition of the object to be refuted does not appear in the reliable treatises of the Svatantrika school. If, as stated in the Madhyamakaloka, one understands the opposite of the way things exist conventionally as the ultimate truth or true existence, then, as stated in that very text: "The deluded mind that imputes an aspect contrary to things that are truly without essence is called conventional, because it acts like obscuring or covering suchness. As it is said in the sutra: All things arise conventionally, in the ultimate truth there is no self-nature. Whatever delusion arises about what has no self-nature, that is considered the true conventional." Therefore, all false things that arise from it and are indicated by it are said to be merely conventional.
