Because the seed of "that" must be abandoned, besides that seed, the habit of dualistic confusion is placed on the aspect of the knowable obscuration, and it is impossible to completely exhaust it. In order not to abandon the knowable obscuration before all afflictions are exhausted, the knowable obscuration is abandoned at the time of the third pure ground. Those who abide in that third ground mostly become the lord of the gods, Indra. They are often skilled at destroying the attachment of sentient beings in the world to desires, and as the main deity, they are skilled at rescuing sentient beings from the mire of desires. Regarding the word "also", in the translation of Natso, as it is said, "also often abandons attachment to desires", it is correct. Third, now clearly showing the differences of the first three perfections, the nature of accumulation, and the discussion of what kind of fruit is achieved: Both lay and ordained Bodhisattvas are the basis of generosity, etc., but depending on the difficulty of practice, it is easy for lay Bodhisattvas to practice the three dharmas of generosity, etc. Therefore, the Sugata praises it as the basis. Among the two accumulations, the accumulation called merit is also these three. That accumulation is the cause of the form body of the Buddha's nature body, which is mainly in terms of the main aspect. It is also said in the Ratnavali: There, generosity and discipline, and the dharma of patience, in particular, are spoken to lay people, those with a compassionate heart should firmly get used to it. So it is said. It is easy for lay Bodhisattvas to practice the three dharmas, that is, generosity is the generosity of wealth and fearlessness, discipline is on the aspect of the discipline of lay people, and patience is mainly the firm belief in the Dharma. For ordained Bodhisattvas, diligence, meditation, and wisdom are easy to practice, but this does not mean that they do not have others. The accumulation of wisdom is meditation and wisdom, and these two mainly serve as the cause of the Dharmakaya, while diligence is the cause of the two accumulations. Fourth, the ground called radiating light refers to the son of the Buddha who abides in the position of the sun. This ground can completely illuminate the darkness of ignorance belonging to one's own continuum, and those who become obstacles to the arising of the ground of ultimate meaning, when this ground first arises.

Having done so. By showing such aspects well to others, it is desired to make other sentient beings permanently eliminate the darkness that obstructs the third ground. That Bodhisattva, having destroyed the darkness of faults in this third ground, which destroys virtues, although becoming extremely sharp like the sun, will never become angry with flawed beings, because they are extremely accustomed to patience, and because their minds are moistened by compassion. The explanation of the third ultimate Bodhicitta in the Great Commentary on Entering the Middle Way, the Clear Meaning, is complete. Fourth, the explanation of the fourth ground, the Radiant Ground, is divided into three: First, the display of the special diligence on this ground; second, the display of the definition of the ground; third, the display of the difference of abandonment. First: Now, on this ground, it is shown that diligence is superior to the first three perfections, but inferior to the remaining six. If one does not rejoice in virtue, then there is no entry into giving, etc., in any way, so no merit arises. If one rejoices in accumulating the merits of giving, etc., mentioned earlier, or in accumulating joy, then the merits that have been obtained increase, and those that have not been obtained will be obtained. Therefore, all merits follow diligence, and merit and wisdom, that is, the accumulation of wisdom, are the cause of the two. Where does such diligence hold the most excellent burning? That is the fourth ground, called the Radiant Ground. The training in samadhi, which is superior on the third ground, is more excellent than the first two grounds. Because the extremely tamed mind born from it, which completely eliminates laziness, is obtained on this special ground, the perfection of diligence is superior. Second: Again, why is this ground called the Radiant Ground? Because on that fourth ground, the sons of the Sugata, through cultivating the thirty-seven wings of complete enlightenment more than before, the light of wisdom born from it is superior to that which is said to be like copper light on the third ground. Therefore, because the light of the fire of true wisdom arises increasingly, that ground of the Bodhisattva is called the Radiant Ground. As it is said in the Ratnavali: 'The fourth is called Radiant, because the light of true wisdom arises, and all the wings of enlightenment are complete.'
