It is not. When he grows up, by developing his own power of wisdom, he completely surpasses all the duties of ministers. O princes, likewise, a Bodhisattva, immediately upon generating the mind of enlightenment, solely by the greatness of superior intention, overcomes all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, but not through the discrimination of his own power of wisdom. A Bodhisattva abiding in the seventh Bodhisattva ground, abiding in the greatness of knowing his own realm, completely surpasses all the actions of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. As it is said. The so-called 'immediately upon generating the mind' refers to the time of the first ground, which is generating the pure mind of superior intention. Thus, only starting from a very distant ground, a Bodhisattva, by developing his own power of wisdom, can also overcome Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. But below the sixth ground, it is not overcome by the power of wisdom. The meaning of surpassing all the actions of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas is that it means overcoming them with wisdom, which can be known from the Compendium of Meanings of the Commentary. When explaining the power of wisdom, it is said that abiding in the greatness of knowing one's own realm refers to the greatness of a Bodhisattva knowing the cessation of his own realm, which is the true limit. Regarding this meaning, some say that there is no difference between the essence of wisdom below the sixth ground and the seventh ground, but the initial wisdoms do not have the ability to abandon the obscurations of knowledge, while the seventh ground's wisdom has the ability to abandon the obscurations of knowledge, therefore, there is a difference between overcoming and not overcoming through wisdom. Others say that from the seventh ground onwards, one can enter Samadhi in a breakthrough manner, and the wisdom of the seventh ground is the wisdom that manifestly faces the irreversible eighth ground, so it is said to overcome with wisdom. The first of these is unreasonable, because according to this system, all clinging to the truth of the person is considered to be afflicted ignorance, and to abandon it in a way that it does not arise again, the seeds of these clinging must be exhausted, and this abandonment is also common to the two Arhats, so abandoning the seeds of clinging to the truth is not abandoning the obscurations of knowledge. If the obscurations of habitual tendencies other than the seeds are established as obscurations of knowledge, then they cannot be abandoned until the eighth ground is attained.
