and one should not rely solely on single-pointed concentration without any special methods or techniques. Because they do not grasp the boundaries of refuting what is to be refuted by reasoning that analyzes suchness, they see everything as being prohibited. They mistakenly believe that all concepts are clinging to inherent existence, handing over all conventional designations to others. In terms of the result, they believe that there is only a Dharmakaya of emptiness, and that the Rupakaya is contained within the consciousness of those to be tamed. For these people, the fact that Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas arise from the Buddha, and that Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are born from Bodhisattvas, all of which are proven by scripture and reason, would no longer be a way of entering the Middle Way. Practicing the three dharmas would also be considered an externalist way, not the way of a Madhyamika Bodhisattva. Thus, they deny all the paths that need to be practiced oneself, and compare the mind, which is empty of inherent existence, to an inanimate object, saying that samsara is a cycle of six similar phenomena. This leads to contradictions and shows that they have embarked on a path of misinterpreting the meaning of the scriptures, starting from the praise in the "Entering the Middle Way." Regarding the methods of learning generosity and so on, which are taught in the context of the bhumis of the noble ones, one should also recognize that even in the stage of ordinary beings, there are many practices to be cultivated, and strive to cultivate them from now on. The third part is divided into three points: the common classification of the ten bhumis, the classification of each bhumi, and the explanation of the qualities of the ten bhumis. The first point is: Here, the eleven bhumis, such as Joyful Ground, etc., are explained based on the "Ratnavali," which says: "Just as in the Shravaka Vehicle, eight Shravaka bhumis are taught, so in the Mahayana, there are ten Bodhisattva bhumis." Here, a rough classification of the ten and eleven bhumis is referred to, and it is based on the "Dashabhumika Sutra." Among them, the ten bhumis, such as Joyful Ground, etc., are explained as ten types of bodhicitta, which refers to ultimate bodhicitta. The essence of the ten bhumis, which are established as ultimate bodhicitta, is as explained in the commentary: "The stainless wisdom of Bodhisattvas, held by compassion and so on, and being completely distinguished, thus obtains the name 'bhumi' because they become the abode of qualities." Here, the essence of the bhumi, what it is held by, and the meaning of the name of the bhumi are explained.

It is explained by these four ways: the way of obtaining, and the explanation of the meaning of the words. As for the nature of the so-called uncontaminated wisdom, some people, according to what is said in the Abhidharmakosha, call that which cannot increase afflictions uncontaminated. This seems to be because they have not understood the unique meaning of establishing uncontaminated in this school. This school believes that what is defiled by the ignorance of clinging to reality and its habitual tendencies is contaminated; and the wisdom that is separated from this defilement is uncontaminated. As it is said in the Clear Words: "The wisdom of those who are free from the darkness of ignorance does not depend on the nature of the uncontaminated realm." Just as it is said. Moreover, until the attainment of Buddhahood, the consciousness that is not defiled by the habitual tendencies of ignorance is none other than the non-conceptual wisdom of the meditative equipoise of the noble ones. This is also alternately established, that is, when arising from meditative equipoise, a consciousness defiled by habitual tendencies is produced. Until the seventh ground, there is defilement by ignorance; while from the eighth ground onwards and for the Arhats, because the cause of arousing ignorance has been exhausted, there is no defilement by it, but there is still defilement by the habitual tendencies of ignorance. Furthermore, the commentary says that the first ground has the name of "non-dual wisdom," which refers to the absence of the phenomenon of the object and the subject appearing as two at a distance, and not to the wisdom that merely abandons the two extremes. In this teacher's writings, there are many mentions of "wisdom and knowledge that are free from the darkness of ignorance," therefore, taking ignorance and its habitual tendencies as the pervasive factors of consciousness, and thinking that when these two are exhausted, wisdom will also disappear, if someone says that this is the view of this teacher, then it is a great slander, just as the heretics think that when afflictions are exhausted, the mind also disappears. Saying that there is no wisdom in the meditative equipoise of the noble ones is similar to this. The Garland of Jewels also says: "Therefore, seeing in this way is liberation, who will see that liberation? In conventional truth, it is said to be the mind." It means asking what kind of action of the subject can directly see Suchness, and the answer is that in conventional truth, the mind can directly see Suchness. The Praise of Dharmadhatu also says: "Like fire purifies clothes, stained with various impurities, if put into the fire, the impurities are burned but not the clothes. Likewise, the clear light
