I (the author) will explain the aforementioned reasoning through an analogy. For example, in a dream, one sees desirable objects such as beautiful women, and then awakens from sleep. Even upon awakening, foolish individuals still generate strong attachment towards things that have ceased and no longer exist. Similarly, even though karma, which is not inherently existent, has ceased, the fruition of that karma will still arise. This illustrates that even when karma has ceased, its results can still occur. To demonstrate this, the Sutra of the Turning of Existence states: 'Great King, for example, a person dreams of enjoying themselves with a beautiful woman in a dream. Upon awakening from sleep, they still remember that beautiful woman. Great King, what do you think? Is that person who dreamed of enjoying themselves with a beautiful woman and still remembers her upon awakening, wise?' The reply is: 'World Honored One, no. Why is that? World Honored One, the beautiful woman in the dream does not exist and is not visible. How could there be enjoyment with her? Such a person will only become impoverished and exhausted.' This example is cited to illustrate the point. Connecting this example with the meaning: Great King, similarly, ordinary beings who lack learning and contemplation, upon seeing various forms with their eyes, develop strong attachment to those forms that bring them pleasure. Having developed attachment, they generate desire. Arising from desire, arising from hatred, and arising from ignorance, they engage in actions with body, speech, and mind. Once these actions are performed, they cease. After ceasing, they do not exist relying on the east, nor do they exist in any of the directions. The sutra states that those who lack learning and contemplation are those who have not realized the true nature of reality through learning and contemplation. Strong attachment is attachment to what is considered real. The three types of actions arising from desire are both virtuous and non-virtuous actions. Actions arising from hatred are non-virtuous. Actions arising from ignorance can also accumulate both types of actions. The immediate cessation of karma upon its completion is a conventional statement. The remaining portion is the nature of cessation.

Now, the establishment has been prevented. After that, when the time and opportunity of death are near, when the life of the karma similar to that is exhausted, when the last consciousness ceases, it is like a beautiful woman of the world waking up from sleep, the mind will clearly turn to that matter. It is said. Similar fate, that is, the aggregates of the same kind, after the karma of staying in this life is exhausted, when the last consciousness of this life ceases, just like a greedy person immediately remembers the beauty in a dream when he wakes up, the mind will turn to that, not memory. Thus, the last consciousness ceases, and the first consciousness belonging to birth, either among the gods, until it arises among the pretas. It is said that the last cessation is of this life. The first consciousness belonging to birth arises, and it is said among the gods and so on. The intermediate state is not the six kinds of beings, so it is the consciousness of existence. Although there is an intermediate state between birth and death, it seems that many are not mentioned, mainly focusing on birth and death, wanting to determine the relationship between karma and result. Then, immediately after the first consciousness ceases, a stream of mind similar to that which will experience ripening will arise. Great King, no dharma is transferred from this world to another world, nor does death and birth appear. Great King, the cessation of the last consciousness is called death, and the arising of the first consciousness is called birth. Great King, when the last consciousness ceases, it does not go anywhere. When consciousness belonging to birth arises, it does not come from anywhere. Why is that? Because of emptiness of nature. Great King, the last consciousness is empty of the last consciousness. Death is empty of death. Karma is empty of karma. The first consciousness is empty of the first consciousness.
