Moreover, since there is no other birth, even if one abides in the view of the world and wants to refute other-birth, there is no harm to the world. To show this reason, it is said: For what reason do worldly people, when showing some who have male organs, say, "This son is born of me"? Even if they say so, the father does not take a male organ from his own body and then put it into the mother's womb. What is it then? It is only that the impure substance that becomes the seed of the son's body is put or poured into the mother's womb. Because the father pours the cause of this son's body and then shows that it is his own son, therefore, the seed and the son are not other entities established by their own nature. This is clearly certain in the world. Therefore, for the impure substance of the seed and the son, and the barley seed and the sprout, etc., to think that they are born from others is also not in the world. If it is thought to be an other entity established by its own nature, then like treating other people, after showing that son, one would not say, "This is born of me." Similarly, just planting the seed of a tree, and then a tree grows from it, thinking, "This tree was planted by me," therefore, in the eyes of the world, there is no other-birth, etc., connect as before. Even if the planted seed is not the tree and the son, but relying on planting those two, after the tree and the son are born, one can show those two and say, "This is born of me," just as the hand that is sick and healed is not that person, but relying on the hand being sick and healed, one can say that the person is sick and healed. Thus, even though there is no other-birth in worldly conventions, the world's perception cannot prevent the existence of other-birth, because to prevent the difference in nature of cause and effect, one must rely on the reasoning that examines reality. Therefore, the meaning of other proponents of tenets admitting other-birth is that it is other-birth established by its own nature, not just established as a different entity, and just being a different entity is also not established in the world. The meaning of "born from others is also not in the world" is that the world is self-satisfied and thinks that the earth sprout

It is not just that there is no grasping onto other as established by its own characteristics in the causes and effects of appropriation, etc. It should also be understood that it also shows that there is no other-origination in conventional terms. In the commentary that refutes origination from both, it also says, "How can origination from self and other, as shown above, be reasonable in both worldly convention and ultimate truth?" Similarly, for those who speak of two important words, it is impossible by the reasoning that has been explained. Thus, it is clearly stated that there is no other-origination even in conventional terms. In the Lucid Words, it also says, "If things do not arise from self, other, both, or without cause, how did the Blessed One say, 'Conditioned by ignorance are the formations'?" In response, it will be said: 'This is conventional, not ultimate truth.'" Thus, the arising of formations by ignorance, etc., is said to be conventional, not ultimate. If one asks, "Is it necessary to explain the establishment of convention?" The answer is, "It is only by this condition that we accept the establishment of convention, but not through accepting the four alternatives." Thus, even in conventionally accepting that this arises from this condition, it is clearly stated that the four alternatives of origination are not accepted. Therefore, to say that this system does not refute other-origination in convention is a statement that does not understand this system well. Third, therefore, in order to show the qualities of not falling into the extremes of permanence and annihilation by establishing dependent origination as not permanent or annihilated, in the way that it has been said that things are not established by their own nature, it is explained. If a sprout is other than the seed, established by its own nature, then the seed and sprout cannot be cause and effect. Without doubt, even if the sprout exists, the seed will be cut off, because then the seed and sprout have become unrelated. Even if the sprout exists, it is of no benefit to the unbroken lineage of the seed. For example, the existence of a cow does not help the lineage from being cut off when the bull dies, and the existence of a Pratyekabuddha does not help the noble ones to cut off the cycle of existence in their own lifetime. If that is the case, then for what reason is the sprout other than the seed, established by its own nature?
