"Mature transformation." As quoted in the commentary on the Abhidharmakosha, whichever of the virtuous or non-virtuous actions matures first, it temporarily blocks the opportunity for other actions to mature. However, this alone cannot determine that the virtuous or non-virtuous action has been destroyed, because it has not been said so. Otherwise, all powerful non-virtuous actions would have to be said to destroy the roots of virtue. Therefore, regarding this, the commentary on the Madhyamakahṛdayakārikā says: Repenting of non-virtuous actions with the four powers, and destroying the roots of virtue with wrong views and harmful intentions, are like seeds that have deteriorated, even if they encounter conditions, they will not sprout. Now, even if they encounter conditions, they cannot produce fruit. Destroying virtuous actions is not to say that as soon as anger arises, there is no virtue in the continuum, but rather it harms the ability to produce fruit. That is also to say that there are three levels of depletion: small, medium, and large. According to the degree of damage, it cannot mature again. Thus, there are two ways to inflict harm: destroying the potential to quickly generate new paths, and harming the ability to produce the fruits of good rebirths, etc. The Compendium of Sutras says that there are immeasurable faults in being angry with, despising, and slandering Bodhisattvas with evil intentions. It says that whether it is certain that they are Bodhisattvas, and whether the reasons for anger are true or not, are the same. Therefore, one should strive to prevent general anger, especially actions equal to Brahma, and anger directed at Bodhisattvas, in any way possible. The Sutra of Akasagarbha says that the root downfalls destroy the previously accumulated roots of virtue. The Compendium of Trainings says that being overly attached to gain and respect and craving for family, being arrogant and conceited, and abandoning the Dharma also exhaust the previously accumulated virtuous deeds, and they will not be increased by virtuous dharmas. Therefore, one should recognize the factors that destroy the roots of virtue and abandon them especially. This is just a brief explanation; one must definitely read the Compendium of Sutras and the Compendium of Trainings. Fourth, furthermore, being unable to endure, because one has no power, only destroys oneself. Having power but no compassion destroys both oneself and others. This is like a person making their own face ugly and leading to non-holiness. This is the way of acting, and this is the idea of the way of not acting.

that steals away wisdom, and unbearable anger, thinking of the faults that quickly cast one into the lower realms after death, one should by all means not give anger a chance, and thus counteract anger. The second part has two points: contemplating the many virtues of patience, and summarizing the meaning to advise cultivating patience. The first point is: if those are the faults of impatience, then what are the virtues of patience that are contrary to that? By cultivating patience, one produces the virtues that are contrary to the faults of anger that have been mentioned before. That is, by cultivating patience, one obtains a beautiful form, is cherished and loved by noble people, becomes skilled in knowing what is reasonable, that is, what is rational and irrational, and after death, one obtains rebirth in the realms of gods and humans, and the sins accumulated by anger and so on are purified, contemplating these to increase the power of patience. The second point is: as previously stated, individual ordinary beings, having recognized the faults and sins of anger, and bodhisattvas, having recognized the benefits of patience, abandoning impatience, should always, that is, at all times, cultivate the patience praised by noble beings. The third point is: dividing the perfection of patience into that which does not transcend the world and that which does, is shown by the four lines beginning with "of the fully enlightened one," which can be understood from the previous explanation. The fourth point is: on the third ground, that bodhisattva with such a pure perfection of patience, as well as the four dhyanas beginning with the first dhyana, and by extension, the sphere of infinite space, the sphere of infinite consciousness, the sphere of nothingness, and the peak of existence, that is, the four formless absorptions of the formless realm, loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity, that is, the four immeasurables, magical powers, the divine ear, knowing the minds of others, remembering past lives, and the five kinds of clairvoyance of the divine eye, will be purely obtained. Even though one enters and arises from these dhyanas and formless states, because one sees that the cause of enlightenment is completely perfected, one deliberately contemplates there, and is born by the power of aspiration, not by the power of worldly dhyanas and formless states. Although these can be obtained from the first ground as well,
