And, for discipline, one must practice the training that is grasped by the wisdom that realizes non-attachment. However, merely understanding and practicing a few times is of no use. Therefore, one must constantly contemplate these meanings. If one is constantly accustomed, even upon first hearing about the conduct of a Bodhisattva, it will generate longing in the mind. Even those things that the Buddha was unable to do for a long time, one will naturally comprehend. As it is said in the "Praise of Infinite Qualities": "Whatever is heard will give rise to importance in this world. Even those actions that you yourself are not accustomed to performing for a long time, through your habit, will naturally change in time. Therefore, unless you fully habituate yourself to these qualities, it is difficult to develop them." The third example is: Just as the great ocean, by the power of the clean Nagas dwelling within, emits whatever taste it has in the form of steam, not mingling with the taste. Auspicious abundance and the inauspicious "Black-Eared Woman" cannot coexist like fire. Similarly, a great being of the second ground, controlled by completely pure discipline, does not wish to dwell together with those who break their vows. In the commentary on the Four Hundred, it says: "In whatever house the auspicious woman enters, the Black-Eared Woman will undoubtedly be present." What is said there and here are not contradictory, because there it refers to two people with those names, while here "Black-Eared Woman" is said to be an inauspicious name. The fourth is: If one cannot prevent the seed of truly fixating on the three circles of who is abandoning, what is being abandoned, and to whom one is abandoning sentient beings, then such discipline is said to be the worldly paramita. If that discipline itself is empty of the true attachment to the three circles mentioned earlier, that is, grasped by the uncontaminated wisdom that realizes non-attachment, then it is the transcendental paramita, so there are two distinctions of discipline. The fifth is: Just as the autumn moon's light is free from impurities and alleviates the suffering of beings.
