有些藏人说,梵语的“ཕ་རོལ་ཏུ་ཕྱིན་པའི་(pha rol tu phyin pa'i,到达彼岸)”是“པཱ་རཾ་ཨི་ཏཱ་(pā raṃ i tā)”,把“རའི་(ra'i)”放在顶端,变成了“པཱ་རམ་ཨི་ཏཱར་(pā raṃ i tār)”,连接的时候,给“ཨི་(i)”加上“གི་གུ་(gi gu)”,去掉“ཨ་(a)”,就变成了“མི་ཏཱར་(mi tār)”,等等,虽然有很多黑暗的解释,但班智达的解释,也就是之前所引用的,是最好的。

When collecting, add the second case singular suffix 'ཨམ་ (am)' to 'པཱ་ར་ (pā ra)'. After 'ཨི་ཏཱ་ (i tā)', add the first case suffix 'སུ་ (su)'. If 'པཱ་ར་མྲ་ཨི་ཏཱ་ (pā ra mra i tā)' is contracted to 'པ་ར་མི་ཏཱ་ (pa ra mi tā)', although 'ཨམྲ་ (amra)' and 'སུ་ (su)' become less obvious, here, if there is a following word, they should not be made less obvious. Although according to the basic rules of phonetics, 'སུ་ (su)' should become less obvious, 'ཨམ་ (am)' has not become less obvious. This characteristic is called the distinction of action, that is, the second case singular suffix is 'ཨམ་ (am)'. Because it has not become less obvious, it has become the phonetic nature of '波罗蜜多 (pā ra mi tā)'. In words such as 'Pṛṣodara', 'པཱ་ར་མྲ་ (pā ra mra)' is used as a suffix, because 'པཱ་ར་མྲ་ (pā ra mra)' is to be said, it is said that it should not be made less obvious. That is, remove 'ཨ་ (a)' from 'ཨམྲ་ (amra)', leave 'མྲ་ (mra)', add 'ཨི་ (i)', and it becomes 'མི་ཏཱ་ (mi tā)'. The initial word 'སུ་ (su)' seems incorrect, and it should be considered whether it is 'སི་ (si)'. Some Tibetans say that the Sanskrit for 'ཕ་རོལ་ཏུ་ཕྱིན་པའི་ (pha rol tu phyin pa'i, having gone to the other shore)' is 'པཱ་རཾ་ཨི་ཏཱ་ (pā raṃ i tā)', placing 'རའི་ (ra'i)' at the top, it becomes 'པཱ་རམ་ཨི་ཏཱར་ (pā raṃ i tār)', when connecting, add 'གི་གུ་ (gi gu)' to 'ཨི་ (i)', remove 'ཨ་ (a)', and it becomes 'མི་ཏཱར་ (mi tār)', and so on, although there are many obscure explanations, the explanation of the Paṇḍita, that is, the one quoted earlier, is the best. With the two lines 'giving, giver (sbyin pa sbyin bya)', grasp the wisdom that understands the emptiness of the three circles, and explain in detail the perfection of giving that is grasped by it. Those givings and so on that are not grasped by it, because they are similar to the perfection grasped by wisdom, are called perfections. Even if it is not grasped by wisdom, because it is dedicated to the great enlightenment, it is grasped, therefore, in order to determine that one can reach the other shore, the name of the perfection of giving is established. Therefore, if the meaning of 'having gone to the other shore (pha rol tu phyin pa)' is related to action in the way of 'the other shore has arrived here (pha rol 'dir phyin pa)', then it is reaching the state of Buddhahood. If it is related to the agent in the way of 'this makes one reach the other shore ('dis pha rol tu phyin par byed pa)', then there is also perfection on the path of learning. Explaining giving in this way, for discipline and so on, one should also understand separately or simultaneously the generation of bodhicitta, dedication, and the grasping of wisdom. If attachment arises to the three circles of giving, that is, if a belief in reality arises, and one is thereby bound, then the sutras say that this giving is worldly perfection. Like this.

Regarding how to practice these teachings from now on: The methods of giving the body to others and generating special joy should be practiced as objects of faith. Other material offerings should rely on the fields of merit above and below, and should be continuously performed by giving water and so on. At that time, it should be grasped by the wisdom that does not fixate on the three spheres. Furthermore, one should repeatedly contemplate giving one's own body, possessions, and three roots of virtue for the benefit of sentient beings. Even if one does not give them away, these things will have to be abandoned because they are impermanent. In cases where the degree of giving is the same, one should think that it is best to give with one's own intention beforehand. As it says in the Bodhisattvacaryāvatāra: The body and likewise all enjoyments, And all merits of the three times, For the sake of accomplishing the benefit of all sentient beings, Should be given without any miserliness. It also says: By giving up everything, one attains nirvana. My mind desires to attain nirvana. Giving up everything in an instant, Giving to sentient beings is most excellent. One should act accordingly. Third, as mentioned earlier, the ground called "Extremely Joyful" is shown through the peculiarity of stainless wisdom, by briefly describing the qualities of that ground: This Extremely Joyful Ground exists like a mandala of jewels, crystal, and the moon. Here, there are three similarities with the moon. First, being in a high position: As mentioned before, because the son of the Victorious One who has attained the qualities of such a ground abides in the mind of the first bhumi, it is like the moon residing in a high position in the sky because it resides on a high path. The first bhumi is a part of the mind of that bodhisattva, so it is called a place of abiding, just as the eye abides on the head. The ultimate mind of the first bhumi, that is, the noble one in whom it abides, that is, its mind, becomes beautiful because the light of wisdom gathers, just as the moon makes the sky of its support beautiful with white light. Also, the first bhumi abides by overcoming the opposing factors of what is to be abandoned by seeing, just as the moon abides by completely dispelling all thick darkness. In the extensive commentary on Entering the Middle Way, the Clear Meaning, the explanation of the beginning of the ultimate bodhicitta. Second, explaining the second ground, the stainless ground, there are five points. This ground has discipline.
