If one is satisfied by conduct, what kind of special joy arises for a Bodhisattva? If a beggar hears the sound of saying "give", and thinks in his heart, "These are begging from me", then for a Bodhisattva, joy arises repeatedly in his heart. Like this, do the Buddhas, the World Honored Ones, not generate joy by entering the realm of peaceful Nirvana? Since giving away all internal and external things satisfies the beggars, what need is there to mention the joy that arises surpassing peaceful bliss? There is no need to say. If the mind is stolen by peaceful bliss, one will neglect the affairs of others, but the joy of a Bodhisattva, as previously mentioned, is precisely because the mind is stolen, and one will instead strive even more to benefit others, so it is different. The fourth is, again, it is said that from giving arises excellent joy, so for a Bodhisattva who gives away internal and external things, will bodily suffering also not arise? If one asks with the premise of a great being who has attained the ground, then just like cutting down inanimate objects, there will be no bodily suffering. As it is said in the Noble Akasagarbha Samadhi Sutra: "For example, there is a great Sala tree forest, and someone comes and cuts down one Sala tree in it, the remaining Sala trees will think, 'This one has been cut down, we have not been cut down', thinking like this in their hearts, they have no attachment or anger towards them, no discrimination or conceptualization. The patience of a Bodhisattva is like this, it is patience completely purified, supreme, and equal to space." It is like what is said in the sutra. It is also said in the Ratnavali: "He has no bodily suffering, how could there be mental suffering, he pities the world, only he can abide for a long time." What is said here also refers to those who have attained the ground. Again, if one asks with the premise of not having attained the Joyful Ground, which is without attachment to the perception of body and possessions, then when conditions contrary to the existence of the body befall one's own body, bodily suffering will inevitably arise. Even at that time, one still relies on that suffering and it remains the cause of engaging even more in the benefit of sentient beings. Like this, Bodhisattvas Pages 101 to 200

Falling into unpleasant places such as hell, animals, and hungry ghosts, enduring the torment of intense suffering that destroys the body without interruption, seeing those who possess unbearable suffering a thousand times greater than the pain of cutting off one's own body, for the beggar, my suffering of cutting off and giving my own body, that is, disregarding the suffering, from the reason of experiencing suffering myself, in order to cut off the suffering of hell, etc., of other sentient beings, quickly strive to practice the Dharma. This is what the Naktso translation says: The suffering of cutting off and giving the body, seeing other sufferings such as hell, etc., starting from one's own experience, strive to eliminate that. This is an explanation based on both appearance and translation. If one has such mental strength, one can give away the body, and it is not contradictory that such a thought arises even when one has not attained the ground, therefore it is said that even without attaining the ground, one can give away the body. Fourth, this generosity of the mind of giving, which is also clinging to the object of giving, the recipient, and the giver as real, and is grasped by the stainless wisdom of emptiness, is called the transcendent perfection. As stated in the Great Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, the non-objective noble equipoise is transcendent, therefore the generosity grasped by it is also established as the transcendent perfection, and the generosity not grasped by non-objectivity is worldly. The difference between these two cannot be directly determined by those who have not attained the true meaning of the Bodhisattva. Among them, the other shore is the opposite shore and edge of the ocean of samsara, that is, the Buddha who has abandoned all two obscurations. Reaching the other shore is the perfection. Here, the commentary says that if there is a later word, it should not be hidden. With this definition called "not hiding," because the difference of karma is not hidden, it becomes a form, or because it is Prishodara, etc., it is established as having a vowel ending. The meaning of what was said in this way, Pandit Jaya Ananta explains it in this way: In the Indian language, the other shore is "Para" and reaching is "Ita," there are two words.
