I should say it that way. Some commentaries and Tibetans, even without afflictions, such as Maudgalyayana's son and the venerable Angulimala, etc., because they see that the suffering is brought about by the fruits of karma accumulated in the past as ordinary beings, they will not be liberated immediately. As it is said, Do not do that, this is not the power to cause suffering in this life, but because the power of karma to propel the next life is irreversible, there is no liberation. In order to illustrate this, it is said: The mind devoid of emptiness, Once ceased, will arise again, Like the absorption of non-discrimination. It means that if one is separated from the realization of emptiness, even if the mind with afflictions is temporarily stopped by practicing other paths, it is not completely cut off, so the manifestation of afflictions will arise again, and because of the effect of karma, the cycle of samsara will not stop. Showing that the mind with afflictions temporarily ceases means, as mentioned before, that the abandonment of the manifestation of afflictions will occur temporarily. In response to "The power of karma is seen": Temporary clinging to craving, If it is said that it is definitely gone, It means that the craving for taking rebirth is exhausted by that path, so it is certain that the next life will not be taken due to karma. In response to this: Although this craving is not of the nature of affliction, Why is it not like ignorance? It means that the other party does not understand coemergent ignorance. Just as one wishes, there are both afflictions mentioned in the scriptures and non-afflictions, why not think that craving also has the nature of affliction and non-affliction mentioned in the scriptures? So he said. This is to show that, as commonly recognized by the two schools and the Mahasamghika, there is craving that is not of the nature of affliction, but one's own school does not think that craving is not an affliction. Therefore, even if one temporarily abandons the manifestation of craving caused by the self-grasping that grasps the self-existent substance of the individual, why is there no craving caused by the view of the perishable aggregate that grasps the self-nature of the individual? Therefore, for the abandonment of manifestation mentioned earlier, the manifestation of the view of the perishable aggregate and craving just mentioned will not regress either. If
