Having clearly distinguished the differences, it was spoken. In order to dispel the doubt that might arise as to from which level of realization one can overcome the other, it is precisely because it was said that one can overcome the other from the seventh level of realization. This is also included in this treatise, so it should be understood that it is very timely. The third part has three points: revealing that the tenth-level bodhisattvas have the realization of understanding the absence of inherent existence of phenomena for the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas; revealing the source for establishing this statement; and refuting the arguments against such a revelation. The first part has two points: clarifying the intention of the commentator; and also revealing it in the tradition of the "Entering the Bodhisattva's Way of Life". The first point is: From the perspective of the tenth-level bodhisattvas, from the perspective of realization at the sixth level and below, this quote that the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas cannot be overcome, the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas also have the wisdom to understand the absence of inherent existence of phenomena. This should be clearly determined, if these two do not have this wisdom, then like the worldly path with peaceful and coarse aspects, except for the peak of existence, for the hermits who are free from desire in other realms, these Shravaka and Pratyekabuddha Arhats, even if they generate the ultimate Bodhicitta, will be overcome from the perspective of realization, because they lack the wisdom to understand the absence of inherent existence of things. Just like the non-Buddhists, the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas also cannot abandon all the afflictions and their seeds that are practiced in the three realms, which shows that without properly understanding emptiness and practicing it, one cannot exhaust the seeds of afflictions, which is similar to the worldly path with peaceful and coarse aspects. If one lacks the realization of suchness, then because of truly clinging to the aggregates such as form, the mind will be inverted and confused. Therefore, one will not be able to realize the complete characteristic of the absence of self of the person, because the basis for imputing self and person, the object of truly clinging to the aggregates, has not been refuted. This shows that if the object of clinging to the aggregates as the basis of imputation is not refuted, then the object of clinging to the person as the imputed phenomenon cannot be refuted either. Therefore, because one has not realized the absence of self of the person, it is revealed that one has not realized the complete characteristic of the absence of self of the person. Like this, the meaning of those previously mentioned is very difficult to understand, and only those who rely on this tradition and Shantideva's treatises can understand.

It seems unnecessary to say that. If doubts arise about this conclusion, and the method of eliminating doubts is determined, then, if it is established by valid cognition that the person (གང་ཟག,梵文:pudgala,梵文罗马拟音:pudgala,汉语字面意思:人) is not an independently existing real aggregate and one with its own nature, and is emptiness and selflessness, devoid of the difference of the aggregates, and the sixteen aspects such as impermanence, this is inevitable. When this happens, the main disciples will also become very familiar with it. If this is done, then by the reasoning of yogic direct perception, the direct realization of the selflessness of the person will be achieved. In this way, through the path of seeing that realizes it, the abandonment of the imputed afflictions will be achieved. If this is achieved, then through the path of meditation that cultivates the direct seeing of the selflessness of the person, the innate afflictions can also be abandoned. Therefore, by exhausting all the outflows of afflictions, even without realizing emptiness, all the subtle habitual tendencies of the three realms and their seeds can be abandoned. As mentioned earlier, the abandonment by the two paths of seeing and meditation is the way of abandonment of the supramundane path. Therefore, if someone asks whether all afflictions can also be exhausted by the path of meditating on the sixteen aspects such as impermanence, this needs to be explained. Even if the view of reality is not obtained, but the sixteen aspects such as impermanence are established by valid cognition, and the disciples cultivate these meanings with great diligence, and from the cultivation directly see the gross selflessness of the person, and cultivate after seeing it, we will not say that this is impossible. So, what does this mean? Because such a path does not fully realize the nature of the selflessness of the person, we do not consider this path to be the path of seeing and the supramundane path of meditation. Therefore, since neither the abandonments of the path of seeing nor the path of meditation can abandon the seeds, saying that this path is the path of seeing and the path of meditation, and saying that the two abandonments together with the seeds are abandoned, and saying that the attainment of arhatship is achieved through these two paths, all need to be explained as provisional meanings. For example, the Mind-Only school establishes by valid cognition the partless particles, and the external objects accumulated by them, and prevents the clinging to these external objects as different entities, and if the disciples who are tamed by this cultivate for a long time, then they can directly
