As it is said, the merit of the eye of completely pure intention, which is definitely possessed by the Shravakas and all Pratyekabuddhas who appear in hundreds of thousands of kalpas. Although the commentary explains the meaning of those two teachings as the arising of bodhicitta from words, it says that the initial practitioner and the one who has not progressed for a long time after generating bodhicitta are in relation to the ultimate bodhicitta. It was previously said that those born into the Tathagata lineage are from the first bhumi, and the meaning of the two previous and subsequent teachings is the same except for the examples, and the meaning of the three root verses also seems to summarize the meaning of that sutra, and the bodhicitta of pure higher intention is mentioned in many sutras such as the Sutra Ornament for Enlightenment in the bodhicitta of the first bhumi. So, is it thought that the conventional bodhicitta of ordinary bodhisattvas can overcome the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas? It is not so, that sutra says: 'Noble son, just as a vajra jewel, even if broken, can overcome all excellent gold ornaments, and does not abandon the name of vajra jewel, and can also dispel all poverty. Noble son, similarly, the vajra jewel of generating the mind for all-knowing wisdom, even if not diligent, can overcome the gold ornaments of the merits of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and does not abandon the name of Bodhisattva, and can also dispel all the poverty of samsara.' This sutra is quoted in the Compendium of Trainings as a basis for not despising even those who do not possess the practice of bodhicitta, and it is also possible for those who have attained the bhumis to not possess the practice of bodhicitta. Second, the bodhisattva of the first bhumi, when he enters a distant bhumi, not only can he overcome the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas with conventional bodhicitta, but also with the power of the wisdom of ultimate bodhicitta, he can surpass and overcome the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas even more. This is what is said in the Ten Bhumi Sutra: 'O sons of the Buddhas, just as a prince born into a royal family, possessing the name of a prince, merely by being born

By the power of blessing, he overwhelms all the assemblies of ministers, not by discriminating with his own intellectual power. When he grows up, by generating his own intellectual power, he far surpasses all the affairs of the ministers. O princes, likewise, the Bodhisattva also, as soon as he generates the mind, solely by the greatness of his superior intention, overwhelms all the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, not by discriminating with his own intellectual power. The Bodhisattva who abides on the seventh Bodhisattva ground, abiding in the greatness of knowing his own realm, far surpasses all the affairs of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. As it is said. 'As soon as he generates the mind' refers to the time of the first ground, it is the generation of a mind purified by superior intention. Thus, only from the long-gone ground onwards, the Bodhisattva also, by generating his own intellectual power, overwhelms the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. Below the sixth ground, it is not by intellectual power that he overwhelms. The meaning of surpassing all the affairs of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas is, as it is known from the collection of the meaning of the commentary, that the two are overwhelmed by wisdom. When explaining intellectual power, 'abiding in the greatness of knowing his own realm' means the greatness of the Bodhisattva knowing the true limit of the cessation of his own realm. Regarding this meaning, some say that there is no difference between the nature of the wisdom of the sixth ground and below and the seventh ground, but the initial wisdoms do not have the power to abandon the obscuration of knowledge, while the wisdom of the seventh ground has the power to abandon the obscuration of knowledge, therefore, there is a difference between overwhelming and not overwhelming with wisdom. Also, it is said that from the seventh ground onwards, one is able to transcend and enter into Samadhi, and the wisdom of the seventh ground is the wisdom that manifestly faces the irreversible eighth ground, therefore, it is said to be overwhelmed by wisdom. The first of these is unreasonable, because this school considers all grasping of persons as afflictive ignorance, and to abandon it in a way that it does not arise again, those seeds must be exhausted, and that abandonment is also common to the two Arhats, therefore, abandoning the seeds of real grasping is not abandoning the obscuration of knowledge. That seed

The reason for establishing the obscurations of habitual tendencies other than (the self-grasping) as the obscurations to knowledge is that they are not abandoned until the eighth ground is attained. Therefore, in this system, according to the view of establishing the self-grasping as the obscurations to knowledge, the obscurations to knowledge are divided into nine types: small, medium, and large, and the classification of abandoning them with the nine paths of meditation from the second ground onwards is not accepted, which will be explained later. The second point is also unreasonable, because the so-called "thod rgal," which is also called "srel zhi" in old terminology, refers to the confusion of order. Here, the situation of entering samadhi in this way is not present below the sixth ground, but is present from the seventh ground, but there is no evidence to indicate this. The third point is also unreasonable, because for the sixth ground and below and the seventh ground, the reason for overwhelming or not overwhelming with realization is that since the doubt has not been resolved, it is similar to using the point of contention as an argument. The commentary says that the seventh ground has the conceptual thought of "I shall enter the path," so effort is required, and the characteristics of the teachings such as the sutras are not manifested, so the signless path is attained. However, the sixth ground and below and the Hearers and Solitary Realizers do not have signlessness, so it is said that they are overwhelmed by wisdom. However, I think that the difference must be distinguished on the basis of the realization of suchness.
