If one does not enter that place, one does not understand that place, and if one does not understand that place, it is contradictory to understand the things that have that place, like saying that if the aspect of the place does not appear, the mind will not enter, and so on, you yourselves also think so. Because there is no answer to that, it is prevented that the aspect of the ultimate truth cannot appear in the mind. Therefore, that aspect appears in the mind, and from that appearance, it is established as realizing that place, like explaining with a metaphor. Therefore, for this school, saying that there is no non-conceptual wisdom that realizes the ultimate truth is slandering the supreme realization of the noble ones. Here it says, "In an instant, one comprehends the knowable," meaning that one attains the omniscient wisdom in just one instant, and it is said that the knowledge of suchness appears as the knowable and the knowing being actually different, therefore one does not know. For these, it seems necessary to understand well how the Buddha knows suchness and the extent of things, therefore, let's briefly say something. For this, before attaining Buddhahood, one mind in one instant, for the appearance of different phenomena and suchness, both cannot be actually known, therefore, knowing these two will be alternating. From the exhaustion of all the habits of clinging to reality and becoming a Buddha, one constantly abides in the samadhi of directly realizing the ultimate truth. Because the samadhi and subsequent attainment arising from that are not alternating, and the "Self-Commentary on the Two Truths" says, "With one instant of knowing, one pervades the entire circle of the knowable." Like this, because there is no subsequent attainment wisdom that knows the extent of things, which is different in essence from the samadhi wisdom, therefore, it must be thought that one wisdom knows all the knowable of the two truths. When relying on suchness and becoming the wisdom of knowing suchness, at that time, in front of that mind, all dualistic appearances are pacified, therefore that wisdom, like water poured into water, merges into one taste. When relying on phenomena and becoming the wisdom of knowing the extent of things, although there are dualistic appearances that appear as the object and the subject being different, because the habits of delusion of dualistic appearances have been uprooted, therefore it is a dualistic appearance that is not confused about the appearing object, and not a confused dualistic appearance. This way of not being confused has already been well explained elsewhere. In the Buddha-land, samadhi and subsequent

Regarding having both wisdoms, it is said in the Uttaratantra: Wisdom, knowledge, liberation, etc., are like light and rays, like the solar disc, because of being clear, radiant, pure, and undifferentiated. In the commentary on this verse, regarding the non-conceptual wisdom that transcends the world, which is possessed by the lineage of the Buddha, because it abides near to dispel the darkness of the Suchness of knowable things, it is similar to clear light. The subsequent wisdom of all knowable things is similar to the radiating network of rays, because it engages in all aspects of all knowable objects. Thus it is said. The non-conceptual that transcends the world is equipoise. Moreover, establishing it in reliance on Suchness is the meaning of 'Suchness is supreme,' and so forth. The meaning of 'subsequent' in 'subsequently attained' is not the 'after' of the temporal sequence of arising from equipoise, but rather the meaning of being attained or arising from the power of that equipoise. The meaning of 'knowable things,' and so forth, is that the subsequent wisdom is established through pervading all that is knowable. Therefore, it is not knowing the suchness of things by relying on phenomena, nor is it knowing the extent of things by relying on the nature of phenomena. If this meaning is well understood, then, 'Devoid of the nature examined by the two truths, this very thing that appears, all that arises in dependence, is directly seen by the all-knowing.' And, 'When the knower, the known, and self are not seen, then because signs do not arise, one does not arise because of the stability of abiding.' Thus, the Buddha directly knows all appearances, and also does not say that he sees the knower and the known in the manner of dualistic appearance, and other great ones have also said similarly. Not seeing the knower and the known is in terms of the Buddha's own appearance, and directly seeing all knowable things is in terms of the way of knowing of the other appearance of those to be tamed. Therefore, it is not necessary to say that there is no wisdom included in the Buddha-ground, but rather that one wisdom relies on two objects, and two different ways of knowing arise, and it should be known that there is not even a slight contradiction in this. Then, 'By seeing all things as true and false,' and so forth.
