I regard all beings with compassion, truly know the nature of all actions, desire the wisdom of unsurpassed Bodhi, rely on observing beings without abandoning samsara, rely on truly knowing all actions and revolving in samsara with a mind free from afflictions, and ignite the fire of diligence by desiring to become a Buddha. The six skillful means that begin with maturing external beings are: Bodhisattvas transform the small roots of virtue of beings into immeasurable fruits, similarly, accomplish great roots of virtue with small efforts, extinguish the hatred of those who are hostile to the teachings, lead those who are hesitant about the teachings into them, mature those who have entered, and liberate those who have matured, these are the twelve skillful means. In the extensive commentary on Entering the Middle Way, "Clarifying the Intent," the explanation of the seventh ultimate Bodhicitta. The second (part) has three (points): In this stage, the way of arising from the increase of aspiration and obstruction; showing that all afflictions have been exhausted; showing the attainment of the ten powers. The first (point) is: The seventh-ground Bodhisattva, in order to repeatedly obtain more merit than before, enters the eighth immovable ground, where the Bodhisattva becomes irreversible. Regarding how he repeatedly obtains more merit than the previous seventh ground and below: It is said in the Ten Bhumi Sutra: "Oh sons of the Victorious Ones, for example, a large ship going to the great ocean must be deliberately sailed and advanced until it reaches the great ocean. When it reaches the great ocean, it will be propelled by the wheel of the wind, and it can advance without deliberate sailing. Therefore, the distance it crosses the great ocean in one day cannot be reached by deliberately sailing for a hundred years. Oh sons of the Victorious Ones, similarly, the Bodhisattva accumulates a great collection of roots of virtue, truly practices the Great Vehicle, and also enters the ocean of Bodhisattva conduct."

With spontaneously accomplished wisdom, in an instant, the extent to which it suppresses the wisdom of all-knowing is such that even in hundreds of thousands of billions of eons with previous deeds to be accomplished, one cannot suppress such an immeasurable number. So it is said. Among them, before reaching the ocean, it is an analogy for the seventh ground and below. Entering the ocean and proceeding is an analogy for traversing the path after obtaining the eighth ground. The aspirations of this eighth-ground being, when initially generating the supramundane mind in the past, the countless hundreds of thousands of aspirations, including the ten great vows, are extremely purified on this ground, and the perfection of aspiration becomes most abundant on this ground. This ground is established as the youthful ground, the ninth ground obtains the royal position, and on the tenth ground, like a universal monarch, the Buddhas bestow empowerment. When entering cessation on the immovable ground, the Buddhas also urge to arise from that cessation. On the tenth ground, it is said: Sons of the Buddhas, thus abiding on the immovable ground of the Bodhisattva, the Bodhisattvas who have generated the power of past aspirations and abide in the stream of the Dharma door, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, accomplish the wisdom of the Tathagata for them, and also teach thus: "Excellent! Excellent! This is also the ultimate forbearance for realizing the Dharma of the Buddha. However, sons of the Buddhas, you do not possess the complete and unshared Buddha Dharmas such as the ten powers and four fearlessnesses that we have. In order to completely seek the complete Buddha Dharma, you should strive diligently and not abandon this door of forbearance. Sons of the Buddhas, although you have attained such peaceful liberation, you should contemplate the unpacified ordinary beings, the various afflictions that arise, and the various thoughts that distract the mind. Furthermore, sons of the Buddhas, remember the past aspirations, the attainment of the benefit of sentient beings, and the inconceivable doors of wisdom. Again, sons of the Buddhas, this is the Dharma.
