Unmixed. The explanation of these should be understood by quoting the Sutra Requested by the King of Dhāraṇī自在王. The wisdom of all-knowingness is considered to be characterized by directly knowing all knowable things. Because all knowledge other than omniscience only engages with limited objects, it is not considered to be directly knowing all knowable things. Thus, the characteristics from form to omniscience are merely the nature of what is expressed, so there is a great difference from being established by the self-nature that is refuted by reason. Third, whatever is the characteristic of conditioned dharmas and the characteristic that expresses the nature of unconditioned dharmas, that emptiness which is established by its own nature is the emptiness of self-nature. Third, this which has arisen in this way does not remain from the time of its own establishment onwards. The past which has already arisen is the destruction of that which has arisen, and the future which will arise is that which will arise but has not yet arisen, so the three do not exist there. The past, the future and the present are respectively the two times of destruction and non-arising, and that which is not perceived anywhere below its own establishment is called imperceptible. That emptiness which is separated by that imperceptible one established by its own nature is the emptiness called imperceptible because it is not permanent and not destroyed. Because they arise from causes and conditions, things are aggregates, that is, the nature of arising from the aggregation of causes and conditions is not established by nature, so they are called non-things. The emptiness established by the very nature of that which arises from aggregation is the emptiness of the nature of non-things. The sixteen emptinesses thus explained are not from different reasonings that refute true establishment, but because everything is established by the reasoning of being permanent and without destruction. It is also not generally established as non-true on one person, if non-truth is established by valid cognition on the inner dharmas such as the eye, the mind will turn to other bases.

Therefore, without relying on the establishment of proofs by others, one can dispel doubts by relying on one's own reasoning. Therefore, one should know both the case of a single individual and the case of individual beings who have a strong attachment to their respective bases. Second, the term "emptiness of things" refers to the five aggregates, which are generally spoken of in a concise manner without being distinguished separately. The emptiness of these five aggregates, which are established by their own nature, is briefly explained as the "emptiness of things." If one speaks concisely without distinguishing them separately, then "non-things" refers to the unconditioned, such as space, and nirvana. The emptiness of this unconditioned itself, which is established by the nature of non-things, is called the "emptiness of non-things." "Nature" refers to the nature of the dharma, and this nature is not made by the Shravakas, etc., but exists as the intrinsic nature of things. This nature of dharma, if it is not established by its own nature, is called "emptiness of nature." Whether the Buddhas appear or not, that is, whether they appear in the world or not, the emptiness of the nature of all things is proclaimed as the object of others, that is, the essence. Here, in the translation of Naktsé, it says, "Even if not born, it is nature itself," and "Proclaims the other's essence as emptiness," which is correct. The meaning of the word "essence of others" has three meanings: supreme, other, and the other shore. According to the first meaning, it is the ultimate Suchness. The meaning of ultimate is that it always exists without deviating from the characteristic of Suchness. According to the second meaning, the other is the transcendental wisdom that is different from the worldly, that is, the excellent non-conceptual wisdom. The thing, that is, the essence, is what is to be realized by that wisdom. According to the third meaning, what exists on the other shore is the essence of the other. That is, because it has transcended samsara, the other shore of samsara is the true end, and the "end" here refers to nirvana where samsara ceases. Because it does not change from the nature of Suchness to other forms, it is Thusness. That itself is by its own nature.
