If one answers with accusations and fault-finding, it is like admitting the truth that causes the other party to be unbearable, thus incurring faults. Similarly, if one admits that the cause of manifestation is established by its own nature, there is fault. Furthermore, Lekden, in order to establish the meaning of non-inherent existence, which he vowed in the Madhyamaka treatises, when others present refutations to the proofs he has presented, he responds by refuting the refutations. This is only something that should be refuted by others. If one admits inherent existence, then for both the cause of arising and the cause of manifestation, the faults of contact and non-contact are the same. However, because he does not admit this, there is no fault, and the answer we have given is the most beautiful. Secondly, if one's own object to be proven, the entity of the reason that is the means of understanding, and the entity of the object to be proven that actually becomes the object to be understood, were to exist as inherently established by its own nature, then the object to be proven and the means of proof would be in contact, or not in contact, etc., and there would be an application of reasoning for proof and refutation. If that which is inherently established is also non-existent, then the fault of being posited on the impure side, and what you have posited on the pure side, we realize that this is merely meaningless disappointment, i.e., frustration. For example, just as refuting the aspects of oneness, multiplicity, roundness, blackness, etc., of the hair streaks and so forth perceived by someone with cataracts does not harm those without cataracts, similarly, when analyzing the cause and effect of non-inherent existence, even if you seize upon the two analyses of searching for the meaning of words and present refutations, it will not harm. Therefore, those examples that are posited as performing their own function without contact with eyes, needles, and so forth should also be understood as being refuted, because if one admits inherent existence, then for those examples, the consequences of contact and non-contact are the same. Some people, having abandoned your straight path of non-inherent existence, delight in taking the extremely crooked path of evil reasoning, connecting with the bad craftsmanship of their own discriminations, obstructing the correct path, and are extremely enthusiastic about it.

What good does this great act do you? Third, furthermore, just as illusions and dreams, etc., are examples that are also established on the opponent's own side. The world of the opponent can enable the Madhyamikas to realize that all things are not established by their own nature. Just as this is very easy, it is impossible for the Madhyamikas to easily understand from the other party that things are established by their own nature, because there is no example that is considered true by both parties. This is like the reason of dependent origination that establishes non-existence, saying that non-existence is not definite on the similar example, but it is impossible to be determined by valid cognition on the subject of non-existence. If that is the case, I can refute all arguments that claim the existence of things, and no one can give a compliant answer. Therefore, in order to cause meaningless harm to the world, who entrusted you to hide here? You worldly people, like silkworms of your own afflictions, on top of being wrapped in the cocoon of your own evil discriminations, why do you weave a web of evil speculative threads, making it extremely dense and establishing it everywhere? This debate of clinging to reality should be abandoned. For all false things like images, what is established by its own nature in terms of its own and common characteristics, and direct perception or inference? Here, for all objects of knowledge, there is only one direct perception, which is the omniscient wisdom. Fourth, like the arising of a sprout depending on a seed, in the case of establishing dependent origination, and like the imputation of a person depending on the aggregates, in the case of establishing dependence, all the refutations spoken to the proponents of existence, the remainder of which is the refutation of whether the cause produces the effect by meeting the effect or not meeting the effect, has been shown above and should also be known. In order to answer the examination and refutation of whether the cause meets the effect or does not meet the effect, the other party, in refuting, with what kind of examination of meeting or not meeting, in this debate, that examination is an inconsistent answer to oneself.
