Furthermore, since there is no basis for abiding, karma also does not exist. Therefore, there is no connection with the result of that karma. If it is thought that there is no fault because the result of the karma created by the previous moment is enjoyed by the subsequent moments, then at that time, the ripening of karma accumulated by others is enjoyed by others, and therefore, the result accumulated by other continuums is consumed by others. In this way, creating karma becomes futile, and one encounters karma that has not been created. The Root Wisdom says: "If this changes into another, then without that it can also arise. Likewise, the one who abides changes, and is born here without dying there. Cessation and all actions, the doer becomes futile, the actions done by others, others should also experience, such things should occur." This means that if the former and latter natures are different, one should not rely on the former, therefore it can arise without the former, and the subject of the former Abides as such, and is born here without dying there, and so on. The second case is: if the former and latter moments are different, even so, because they are the same continuum, there is no fault. If this is indeed the case, then for constant, different things, having one continuum is not a fault. This is also unreasonable, because for things that are different in nature, there is one continuum. When analyzing before, the fault has already been stated, which is in the "All Dharmas Based on Maitreya and Near Protector." Also, the Root Wisdom says: "If a human is different from a god, then it is impermanent. If a human is different from a god, then the continuum is not reasonable." Therefore, for things that are different in nature, the same continuum is unreasonable. Therefore, the faults of encountering karma that has not been created, creating karma in vain, and so on, cannot be avoided. Therefore, it is unreasonable to think that one's own aggregates and one's own mind are one's own self. The second point is: just as the reason stated earlier, not only are the aggregates and mind not the self, but also the world has an end, and so on, infinite, non-infinite, both and neither, the world is permanent, impermanent, both and neither, the Tathagata exists after death, does not exist, both

The twelve views that are neither one nor different, and the saying "the body is the same as life," and the two views that "the body is one thing and life is another," these fourteen, because they are considered unanswerable, all schools consider them to be unanswerable views, therefore the aggregates are not self. If the word "world" grasps the aggregates, then because the aggregates arise and cease by their own nature, it must be stated that the world is impermanent, and according to you, after nirvana, the aggregates do not exist, so it must be stated that the world has an end, and it must also be stated that the Tathagata does not exist after death. Therefore, because the answers to questions such as the world having an end are blocked, the aggregates are not self. In this, life is a synonym for self, and the world is asked about in relation to self. If you ask thinking about the inner agent, the person, then because the basis of distinction is not established, the distinguishing characteristics cannot be stated. If you state it from the perspective of a merely imputed self, then because those who ask do not have the capacity to realize such a selflessness, it cannot be stated either. Thirdly, there is another fault. If, according to you, when a yogi directly sees no-self, when he sees the truth of suffering in the form of no-self, saying "all dharmas are no-self," then he will necessarily see that the objects of the aggregates do not exist, so he will see no-self, because the aggregates and mind are self. Such an assertion is also unreasonable, therefore the aggregates are not self. If so, in the school that does not accept the aggregates as self, when one directly sees the no-self of a person, must one also see that all people who are the basis of the self do not exist? Because the reason is the same. If asked like this, if one does not understand the subtle reasoning, one cannot answer, so it should be explained: those outsiders who consider the aggregates and mind as self do so because they do not understand that self and person are merely established in accordance with names, and they seek the meaning of imputation, so the aggregates and mind being self is their own nature.
