I should observe in that way. As explained in the commentary on the Abhidharmakośa. It is unreasonable for those schools to say that if something does not exist ultimately in general, then it does not exist conventionally either. Saying this does not mean that they make the way the two truths exist the same, nor does it show that their two creations are consistent. Because what they establish as existing conventionally is exactly what Madhyamikas say is clinging to existing ultimately. If the four elements that are the basis of imputation for things like pots, and the four derived elements, etc., are substantially existent, then the imputation of things like pots is reasonable with a cause or basis. If you think so, then according to the Madhyamika view, all phenomena are merely imputed, and there is nothing that is substantially established as the basis of imputation, just like the son of a barren woman, this fault cannot be avoided. That is also unreasonable. Because it is impossible to establish that the basis of imputation is substantially established. For example, relying on the collection of features, etc., which are conventionally existent, one merely focuses on the image, and relying on pillars, etc., which are conventionally existent, one imputes a house, and similarly, one imputes a forest with trees as its basis. Just as in a dream, one sees a sprout of unborn nature arising from a seed of unborn nature. The basis of imputation for all conventionally existent things should also be a conventionally existent thing. Third, if you have already refuted arising from self, other, both, and no cause, and this is refuted on both sides of the two truths. Then how can it be determined that actions, consciousness, etc., arise from ignorance, etc., and sprouts, etc., arise from seeds, etc., in the conventional sense? To this it should be said, because as explained before, the arising of phenomena is not without cause and arising from its own nature, nor is it arising from the cause of Īśvara, etc., from time, atoms, nature, puruṣa, and the son of the desireless one, etc., nor is it arising from self, other, or both. Therefore, relying on this cause and condition, this result arises excellently, merely abandoning the four extremes of arising, the worldly cause and effect
