It should be added with words such as "acceptance is like that at that time," because it is intended to refute all views about existence and non-existence. If you also think that this inference is equally flawed, that is also not the case, because we have no example of reversing the argument. When it is realized that other worlds belong to existence, I, the nature of knowledge, the supreme meaning, should be regarded as the object of observation, because the basis of my way of observing is the same as the body. When promising to realize selflessness, one can say "acceptance is like that at that time." Similarly, when it is realized that there is an omniscient one here, I, the nature of knowledge, the supreme meaning, should be regarded as the object of observation, because the reason and examples are only these two. Similarly, it should also be added to words such as "all things." Therefore, in this way, "Not from itself, nor from another, not from both, nor without cause." These four vows are completely established. As it is said, this is refuting other schools, not establishing one's own school, one should not say so. The third is, here it is said, if things are not born from self, other, both, and without cause, then how are they produced? The answer is, if things have some kind of nature, then, because there is no other possible way of arising, without a doubt, it must be born from self, other, both, or without cause, or become an object of observation. Those who think that things are produced from Ishvara (自在天) etc., according to their view, Ishvara etc. will also become one of self, other, or both, therefore, those who claim Ishvara etc. as the cause also cannot escape the faults that have already been said, therefore, there is no fifth distinction of the cause of production. Therefore, because there is no other, and because the four distinctions have denied the so-called arising, in order to explain that the nature of things is unborn. What is the reason? Because there is no birth from self, other, and both, and no birth without relying on cause, so things

It is contrary to being established by its own nature. So it was said. Although this refutes the four extremes of origination by reductio ad absurdum, it ultimately shows how to infer origination based on what sign. That is, not originating from the four extremes is the reason. "Things," this is the subject of the proposition. Being devoid of establishment by its own nature is the proposition. The second has two parts: the actual meaning and a summary of its meaning. First, if things do not originate by their own nature, then how are the unoriginated blue and so on apprehended? Since the nature of blue and so on never becomes the object of appearance for some obscured by ignorance, the consciousness of the eye and so on does not apprehend the nature of blue and so on. Then, what is it that repeatedly appears as the nature of the object in front, what should it become? This appears due to the power of inversion, so it is not its own nature, but only because of the power of ignorance that it focuses on itself. To show this, it is said, because of what, that is, because of what, like a mass of dark rain clouds, thick ignorance obscures the sight of the nature of blue and so on, which exists in the minds of sentient beings in the world, therefore, children do not see the nature of blue and so on, but the nature of objects appears as inverted and becomes the place of attachment, this will appear to those children who are attached to the truth. If one cannot see the truth because it is covered by ignorance, then how can one see it in a distorted way? Appearing as such when it is not established by its own nature is due to the power of ignorance. To show this from an external example, just as by the power of being obscured by impaired senses, some with impaired vision perceive hairs, double moons, peacock feathers, bees, and so on as being wrongly perceived as existing, so too, because of the fault of ignorance, unskilled ordinary people will understand, that is, see, various phenomena of blue and so on aggregates with their intelligence, that is, with their consciousness. This is dependent origination.
