Act improperly and enjoy eating and drinking! You will not have such a perfect body again. This body is just an aggregation of various factors, and the fear of the past cannot be reversed. This is said because one wants to approach a daughter and believes that the daughter has no afterlife. Nagtso translated it as: The fear of the past will not come again. To this it should be said: What is the reason for your certainty that there is no afterlife? If you think it is because you have not seen the afterlife with your own eyes now, then is not seeing the afterlife with your own eyes a direct perception or a non-direct perception? If you say it is direct perception, if you think that direct perception is false, then non-existent things are not contradictory to direct perception. Therefore, non-existent things also become existent things for you, because the direct perception of the afterlife is false, and the true measure of direct perception is direct perception, so it is like existent things. In this way, since there is nothing called non-existent things, existent things will also become non-existent, because there is no opposite. If these two do not exist, then the four elements do not exist, and the vows to assert that there is no afterlife will also collapse. If it is said that it is not direct perception, then for the time being, because it is not manifested, it is not grasped by the measure of direct perception, then through the way it is not grasped, how can it be inferred that there is no afterlife? If it is said that it is grasped by inference, generally speaking, not only is it direct perception, but inference can also achieve the purpose of people very well, but you have not admitted this inference, because: How much is the range of the senses, people are limited to that much. What the virtuous and learned woman says is like the footprints of a jackal. Because the way people understand things is limited to the direct perception that the senses such as the eyes can see. So, according to which self-nature of the four elements such as earth, which is said in your sect, has become the object of your consciousness? If it is not the existence of that kind of self-nature, then what kind of darkness of consciousness is there for very coarse things?

In this very context, how can one who exists here correctly realize whether the extremely subtle afterlife exists or not? It is impossible to realize. Another fault is that when denying the afterlife, one should realize that the self, that is, the Lokayata, views the nature of knowable things in a reversed manner. Because the basis of his view is to slander the afterlife, it is the cause of its existence, being the same as having a similar body and aggregates. For example, it is like when one asserts that the nature of the elements truly exists. If one thinks that when realizing the elements as truly existing, since it is not seen in a reversed way, the example is devoid of what is to be proven, that is also not the case, because for the elements that are unoriginated by nature and non-existent, realizing them as existing by nature and originating, therefore, the reversed view is established. This shows that for the combination of one's own correct reasons, it is necessary that the example is not devoid of what is to be proven. It is the same for what is taken as a reason. Previously, when establishing that sound is impermanent, stating that what is apprehended by the eye is an unestablished reason, therefore, it shows that establishing the proposition with a reason requires the three modes. If it is said that it is necessary to establish that the elements are unoriginated by nature. Then, how those elements are not existing by nature, as such, has been said before. Because, when above, in refuting self-origination, other-origination, both-origination, and causeless-origination, the elements' self-origination, I have also commonly, that is, generally refuted, therefore, look at these elements, there is nothing that has not been said by previously refuting in a general way, therefore, the example is established. Similarly, when refuting the tenets of those who slander the all-knowing one and those who speak of things of a nature different from that, one should also apply reversed understanding. For example, when refuting the perfectly enlightened Buddha, the self should be understood as viewing the nature of knowable things in a reversed way. Because the basis of his view is having a similar body. When asserting the existence of the nature of the elements,
