Within the realm of..., since a beginner cannot exhaust all the Sutras, it is said that one should investigate the true nature of any one Sutra. Know that even those that do not directly show the true nature must be said to be the cause of entering into it, which is known by citing it as a basis of knowledge. The so-called "one thing" means that if one can understand and practice well the true nature of one object of dharma, one can practice the true nature of all objects of dharma, so there is no need to separately practice the dharma nature of each object of dharma. The so-called practicing one thing is equivalent to practicing everything, which is explained by the three sentences "all Buddhas" and so on. Saying this does not mean that for the vast objects of dharma, one method is sufficient. The *Moon Lamp Sutra* says that just as the method of determining numbers, the contents widely explained in the *Inexhaustible Wisdom Sutra* and other Sutras should also be understood. These contents have been summarized after distinguishing between what needs to be explicitly explained and what does not. The so-called "only briefly describing a few aspects" means that if the three natures explained in the *Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra* are explained as provisional meaning, then in order to explain how one's own school establishes these three natures, a brief explanation is given. For example, a snake is a false imputation on the dependent arising of a twisted rope, because the snake does not exist on the rope. But the real snake is the perfectly established, because it is not imputed in the absence of existence. Similarly, intrinsic nature is also like this, on other conditioned, fabricated things, it is also imputed in the absence of existence. As the *Mūlamadhyamakakārikā* says: "Intrinsic nature is uncreated, and does not depend on others." Therefore, the intrinsic nature of habit is not fabricated. For the conditioned dependent arising that is being grasped, that is, being seen, similar to an image, the nature imputed as habit, for the realm of experience of the Buddha observing the reality as it is, is the real habit, because it is not imputed there in the absence of existence. Because for things made by causes and conditions, wisdom does not touch them, but directly manifests intrinsic nature, therefore realizing this is called Buddha.

The determination of the limit of wisdom will be explained. Therefore, having understood the classification of the three natures in this way, one should explain the intention of the sutra, as it is said. Through this method of explanation, one should also understand the intention of explaining the three characteristics in the chapter of the Maitreya Inquiry Sutra. One should also understand that the intention of explaining the three natures in the Samdhinirmocana Sutra is definitive. The Mind-Only school believes that the imputation of the two entities of grasper and grasped as different in nature on the dependent arising, considering it as the completely imputed, is something that needs to be thought about or examined, because the grasper and grasped are dependent arising, and other than that, dependent arising does not exist. Regarding the classification of the three natures mentioned in the Maitreya Inquiry Sutra and the three natures in the Samdhinirmocana Sutra, the determination of their limits has already been explained in the Distinguishing the Definitive and Non-Definitive Sutras. Thirdly, regarding arising from self and other, the naked ascetics assert two important terms. For example, when a pot arises from clay, sticks, wheels, ropes, water, and potters, the clay pot exists as the nature of clay, therefore it arises from itself. And the actions of the potter and others, which have become other, are the causes for the production of the clay pot, therefore it is also considered to arise from both self and other. Just as in the external environment, the internal environment also arises from both self and other. Among them, regarding the person and the cherished life, as well as the non-life such as the senses, the Dharma that accomplishes higher realms and definite goodness, and the non-Dharma that is the opposite of it, the outflows of afflictions and the vows that prevent misconduct, as well as happiness and suffering, and the power of formation that arises from knowledge and becomes the cause of knowledge. Through classifying the nine meanings of words, Maitreya exists only as the nature of life in other lifetimes, therefore he takes this present birth, because Maitreya and life are not other. Life flows from one birth to another, and the flow of beings such as gods is also recognized by others. Furthermore, Maitreya arises from his own parents, Dharma and non-Dharma, outflows, etc., which have become other, therefore it also arises from others. Therefore, asserting that it arises only from each of self and other
